Pesticide Remediation Cost

Currently in the process of developing a business model for electrostatic pesticide application equipment supply/leasing, IPM consulting and service provider. To obtain a visa for a director of the company, I have to present a business model to the USCIS.

Wondering if anybody has an estimate of the cost of pesticide remediation for CBD hemp processing? Any information such as cost/lb-ton processed, hourly lab rates, product revenue impact, etc would be very much helpful and also a topic i’d like to discuss.

I think the responsible cultivation of CBD hemp must be prioritized and demonstrating the financial effects of applying prohibited substances may help drive this notion home.

Lets heal the earth.

Water solubles are cheap, relatively, to remediate. Non-polars not so much, I’d go for degrading those over reverse phase. Choose your pesticides wisely bc there is no magic bullet for remediation.

Cheers for the response. Do you have any $ value estimates?

The company ethos will be only organic/bio based pesticides along with other biological and cultural controls. These products are starting to become more cost competitive compared to ag chem pesticides.

Whoever does have those figures will probably offer to sell them to you, which I believe is totally reasonable. It takes days to come up with an accurate cost analysis of anything and there are far more factors in pesticide remediation than pretty much any other area in this industry since there is a different method that has to be employed for different classes of pesticide. From your post it sounds like you are asking someone to do pretty much all the work of building your business model and getting the company owner over here to the states and in business. In most places around the world they call that consultation. I’m more than happy to help out for a fee! Cost analysis is actually one of my specialties, but there are simply too many factors for anyone to easily chime in and say here you go, because every category you asked about varies by location and a host of other factors including what methods you are using, how well trained employees are, whether you’re able to monetize byproducts of production, how good the material is you’re trying to remediate, how many different categories of pesticides you want to be able to remediate, how much you want to remediate in a month and the list goes on and on.

I think you’ve got my intentions completely confused… I’m developing a service for small to medium scale hemp producers around my area. Our goal is to increase the access to specialized equipment, electrostatic pesticide applications, for farmers who can’t afford or can’t justify the cost of said equipment.

I’m not interested in SOPs for pesticide remediation or anything of similar matter. I was simply pondering the cost of pesticide remediation to make comparisons to the cost of properly instituted IPM programs. Thanks for offering your services but I think you’re selling the wrong guy.

Good luck.

Our suggested process comes in around $.13-.15 per gram depending on things like labor.

Cheers Shadow. This is the sort of ball park estimate I was after. Now just to get some anecdotes of acreage yield of oil.

Does the degradation lead to removal of contaminants? Or just non-detectability?

Could be both. No detect on some, drastically change physical properties of others making them distill with lights. I don’t have any examples off of the top of my head.

Does anyone have a sense of 1) What’s the demand level for pesticide remediation for biomass or crude/distillate? We need it and I’m wondering if others do too. 2) What is the price to have it done by a reputable specialist for say 100L of winterized crude or distillate?
