this is a screen shot directly from rowans link 40L volume
these sites are not super great on tech specs being at all accurate
I agree. That being said lets see if we can answer your question. I am going to rephrase it.
I understand it is highly dependent on mill size. On average, how much volume does 1lb of 1.5mm grind dry biomass take up?
i can fit 8# of ground mass in a 5gal bucket
3.6kg/19L
So by that number we can ascertain that the “50kg” fuge you linked above with a 40L basket will only hold just shy of 17# of dry biomass.
but the basket is actually 78L
maybe it can fill with 40L of ethanol per batch with a combined biomass/ethanol weight of 50kg.
a 78L basket should hold 32#
40L ethanol 190 weighs 32kg or 14.54#
46.5#
still makes no sense.
maybe its me.
maybe its china.
How did you find out it is 78L? Did you get measurements from a manufacturer? Measure it yourself?
So the PPTDM50 is 78L does anybody know the actual volume of the PPTDM25??
scroll up @cyclopath ust explained basket size, he gets up close and personal with these things more often than most
I don’t see an explanation from him, just a statement. I believe him since he has the experience. Was just looking for a little more clarity on the subject.
Nah. They sling clay
who slings clay? what?
sorry…
the math on 50kg in a 78liter basket doesn’t look right because cannabis is a whole lot fluffier than the clay the basket was designed for.
I call it 30lb, but 33lb is easy.
