Peat Pots? Are they as handy as they say they are?

I just got a butt load of Peat Pots because supposedly they’re able to be put right in the ground as soon as the plant out grows the pot. I guess there’s a chance of a root system taking over the entire pot and growing into the pot itself because it is organic matter.

Has anyone had any luck using Peat Pots for growing baby Cannabis plants and then putting them into the ground without transplanting?

Amazon.com these things

Some people liked them in the past, most hate them now. Can’t let them dry back too much.

I wouldn’t mess with them. There’s much better options available these days. Look into compressed coco if you want to keep things easy and reduce transplant shock.

Not worth the price/hassle. Get yourself some potting soil and just do unit cells. cheaper and easier to transplant into the ground

Look into EllePots or similar

Peat pots suck. The roots don’t grow through them very well, and they get all flimsy and fall apart half the time. If you try to remove them from the root ball before planting, they really screw things up. I used to get pots made from coco fiber back in the day, and they did everything the peat pots claimed to do, and way better. Nowadays, it’s just old school flats and inserts for me.

Buttload of peat pots = 100 of them to test them out.
