So as more single media replacements come out the thought of loading said media into a filter sock then placing into the crc column seems like more of a possibility. I was thinking stuffing a sock with a single media then placing a filter ring on top and hand compressing it to get a nice cake inside the column. Thoughts?
Seems like it would be extremely hard to prevent channeling, that would make cleanup a lot easier though.

This is the first thing I thought of when I first started reading about CRC. Couldn’t you sow little media micron socks for each media, pack them in between the filter plates and push cold and slow?
