Outdoor grows 2020

I can get a job as a Lazy Boy salesman starting @ 55K plus commission, bonuses, and benefits right now. Last job I was offered in cannabis (still looking BTW) was for $15 an hour to be on the management team of a 4+ million dollar lab that had another 2+ mil worth of equipment in crates. They wouldn’t even bump the starting pay to $17 (which I was begrudgingly willing to take despite my overqualification and knowing my worth is far greater). Hell , Taco Bell is starting people at $16 right now. Skilled labor isn’t cheap, and cheap labor (generally speaking) isn’t skilled.

This is why I now have had to start looking outside the industry, despite wanting nothing more than to make good medicine. I miss it immensely.

I just got my old job back, 30% paycut, no overtime, and nothing but rising bills. I’m not complaining, but I’m aware of what dudes standing in the front of target make.

My coworkers wife sells school furniture, just cashed a 20,000 commission for ppe kids desks w sneeze guards.

guess I should graduated highschool :man_shrugging:

I’ll whipe down every cart so hard it’s not even funny, and dudes out there are just readjusting their ear buds. I like what I do more, but I miss free time and get jelly.

One of the “blue dragon bx” I threw out a little bit later in the season. Stoked on the color, and it smells like blueberry muffins. There are two phenos that have the purpling already. The other 3 are green with similar structure.

I speak from experience that even in southern oregon in my area we have a very early season. I have a friend that crossed blue dream × sour diesel and found a 7 week pheno this strain has been grown by seed in our local environment and it finishes outdoors but only because its acclimated to our environment . We are 5000 elevation and typically see snow and rain mid september . Any time we didn’t dep in a greenhouse it would not finish and came out sub par and would not finish . I highly reccomend a greenhouse . I have had to wipe snow off my hoop house in june with veg plants lol talk about fucked . It happens every year here and if you are not prepared your plants will die or get severely fucked up

I am putting a roof on end of September. I have portable commercial dehumidifiers and heaters to help finish everything off. Most of my strains this year will need it.

Luckily I’m only at 3000Ft. Our September’s are usually really nice, and this years forecast (as far out as I have looked) is looking awesome. We usually see our first snow end of October. And even that melts off and we won’t get real snow until middle of November.

If it was me i would have everything set up so if needed any day you can implement these things . I had a mild rain fuck up my dep plants last year because it was week 7 of flower some plants were not fully supported so a 6’ feet tall canopy turned into a 3 foot canopy from collapsed plants it was heart breaking. So make sure you got everything super supported . Just have it set up so you can minimum pull clear plastic if bad weather comes . A bad storm could stunt your plants growth for the rest of flower where they will never grow the same again or just be plain destroyed . Seems like your grow season is better than mine but we still crushed it and grew killer deps ! Buds get rock hard dense at 5000 elevation and the UV light definitely increases thc production !

I’m actually working on my last layer of trellis this week. Just to be safe. Haha

And the greenhouse is ready for plastic, it’s not a super speedy Process to get on, but if the forecast is calling for a storm (and I watch the forecast like a hawk lol) it would only take me 3-4 hours with a couple hands…

What’s the best way to get rid of ants around a house/farm?

Lately I’ve been seeing an ant infestation and need them gone ASAP.

Idk, I haven’t had the issue…yet. Haha

Boil tomato plant stalks and spray that green juice everywhere.

For non organic solution just use that clear ant bait.

Ants are a great way to get root aphids.

They farm them for their honeydew secretion much like we farm cows for their milk.

Yeah, taro ant poison is just sugar and borax/boric acid.

Talstar p is a scorched earth chemical option, obviously follow label instructions. That shit kills everything.

Yeah I just ordered a couple taro ant poisons. No time to waste. Thanks!

And for gods sake don’t get this shit any where near a cannabis plant!

I slacked off of tossing 1 plant od to flower. I missed it by 3 weeks. Maybe next yr I’ll toss up a small greenhouse and put 1 in there and see what happens.
