I run an OSS butane extraction machine. I have 2 columns, 2 CRC’s, and a 30 gallon collection pot. When I run, after I’ve pushed all my nitrogen through my columns, and my CRC is completely dry, I’ll release the pressure in the column I just ran. For the last 2 days when I get down to 0, I’ll see butane leaking from the nozzle and it won’t stop. I keep adding the amount of nitrogen I push through, and every time I do this my CRC is bone dry, I’m talking minutes without a drop of oil. Why might I be losing so much butane through the PRV? Thanks
Sounds like faulty prv. Have u tried reseating it?

I haven’t because at the moment I’m weary of releasing all the pressure and letting out that much butane in my C1D1. But I guess I have to anyways to change out my material. I’ll give that a shot.

The release of pressure maybe cooling off the spool enough to condense what butane is in there still? How cold is the spool?
If the crc is big enough, I imagine there’s still a decent amount of residual butane in the powders. That’s my guess?
I’d try heating the crc if possible.
