Here you are Sir: Inline Sight Glass | Design And Build Supply (dabsllc.com)
These sight glasses are very common in the hvac industry might be a cheaper option
Jeeze, you could buy German metaglas for that price!
@Roguelab you got a link for a similar sight glass?

I can’t find the darn link for the sight glasses made by fusing boro glass with 316 ss
The tech is called. Kovar
I have been able to get custom made kovar sight glasses with serious specks
-200 C - 400 C temp range and 150 psi pressure
The part that gets me, is that there’s only a $10 dollar difference between the sizes!
I would feel more comfortable with some of the ones that Rogue posted. Having the sight glass caged seems like a better solution when going that high in pressures, but what do I know?
Here is my chinese ebay 5L set up. It works great, but I want to upgrade my pump. I went with what was cost effective at the time. I got a 5L for $500. Thankfully it has worked out well.
This is my qwiso, here it looks good but when I destill it, it becomes very brown, i do not know if it is for the temperature, I use a chiller in -10°c, the bath is 50°c and the ring vacum is 0.6
Hi have the same rotary evaporator, I tried to destill qwiso and it git very brown almost black, I would like to know wath is your configuration to get the wax clear, I am from mexico and here there is not a lot of information.
Clearing your qwiso is achieved best by scrubbing your extract prior to distilling of your solvent before decarbing
Scrubbing extracts works best dissolved in alkanes or no solvent at all
Activated carbon has as side effect making extracts reddish
So I would recomend LLE ph swings and bentonite clays
Pleasure doing business with them. Basically overnighted my order, and was exactly what was required for the keg-as-collection-vessel-bubbatek.
Our ratings are better , and were half the cost
To be fair , they did fail at 5800 so almost 6k psi
But they handle cold really well as well
And tested to -80c
They cost us the same to produce any of the sizes. We made the smaller ones cheaper to try and help give some price differenced , we just make $10 less on each size tbh
You have a link for orders
Lol, 6000psi vessel fails at 5800psi, that’s only 3200 psi less the the hydrotest pressure they should have been subject to
I will stand by my “okay for 15psig” statement
5800 psi was the hydro-test fail point , not the rated use *
The spec sheet we offer with them says rated to 350 psi
We bring up its high psi fail point to reassure customers they are plenty safe at the rated 350psi .
Bubbatek?
Excuse me but until i start my indoor shrimp farm… its RowTek
And you can bet your ass that i am setting up an indoor shrimp farm.
In kegs.
I couldn’t get ahold of dry ice last night and I really wanted to make RSO.
So I was like fuck it, I know it’s gonna take forever but I’ll use regular ice and I was like dude I have a really good idea, what if I just put a coil on the return line for the water.
So I grabbed my small coil and I attached the water return line off the rotovap to the coil which then went back into my main water resivoir.
I used 5lbs of regular ice for one bucket with the water and ice as a coolant and 5lbs for the other bucket with the coil and a bit of water. It worked pretty damn nicely.
- I just ate 2 grams of rso and I’m waiting for it to kick in while I type this.
It took a long ass time don’t get me wrong but it worked a fuck load better than if I didn’t have the coil on my rotovaps water return line.
I know, if you’re keeping your main coolant “cold enough” you’ll never need a secondary form of heat transfer but I think lowering the odds of warming up your main coolant bath by having a heat transfer coil in a standard ice water bath, regardless if you’re keeping your coolant bath “cold enough;” is a good way to go about it after what I did last night.
