Old school hash consistency

Hello my family and I have always loved dark creamy more goey kinds of hash but in recent years only low commercial have darker plates and if I look for a creamy hash that isnt totally dried out its in the very high price range like 800-1000 euro here in DK which some kinds are new but much look like the good hash back from post 2020 sold at like 350-500 euro all day back then.

What happened? and where are all the different kinds of hash?

At the moment i usually just get semi dry or dry sift quality(no name worker) but i miss some good old goey dank for the pibe!

Do anyone cure or over-cure to get that creamy texture? What hash kinds/smells strains can/cannot take heat without destroying terps?

Any thoughts are apreciated. :victory_hand:

Not many have the means of doing fresh frozen but when it’s possible you can make some of the nicest grease

For sure to me its the top smoke without a doubt just isnt available unless you have enough money to wipe your ass with them you cant smoke that all day in Denmark haha.

But i always liked the old schools Afghan black, Nepal cream or red Libanon etc, im aware something about morrocan borders being more expensive for loads but is there not hash coming elsewere anymore? Or is most just spiced up cbd/cbg pollen at worst

I’ve come to see that most on your side of the pond is just spiced up cbg or cbd. Unfortunately I’m sure many growers there aren’t looking into the higher tac overall strains or the limits of having to dry farm may induce lesser qualities in some places as their inputs aren’t meant for building high numbers.

Sure i have had the thought for a long time it all most taste the same but just with different smells i cant even call it taste because most just smell but just taste like dry brick.

Sure ive heard the same anout when small farms or operations scale up they tend to lose in quality over quantity but it all seems rigged of some kind last year think was the same but that at least tasted good and greased up.

Hash foreign hasj in Europe is becoming rare

Afgang and Nepalese hasj have taken a hit with all the wars and politics in that region

Transports are only doable if there is legal business happening which has dropped a lot

The Pakistani afgani region has been in turmoil the last. Decade and the main consumers ( United Kingdom) have been producing a surplus of weed as feedstock for the needy

Libanon although they just legalized has seen it s part of instability and turmoil

Another kill switch has been the fact that their cannabinoid content has not risen much over the past decades unlike Marokko that introduced the foreign strains and has seen a

Rising of cannnabinoid content for the same price

As a smuggler I can say that the largest part of hash you smuggle is commercial products with only a small portion beeing the good stuff

We have to pay for the dope prior to taking it on a ride and the commercial type is cheapest

You need the commercial hash in quantity s to cover the costs but it s this part that sells more difficult lately

Our main hub for Pakistani/afgani hash used to be south Afrika but some of the main transport options got burned thanks to the CIA

Who claimed that these drugs where /are paying for weapons It s a global effort

An other change is that India it self has become a decent cannabis market so why go halfway across the globe if there are customers at the bottom of the hill

The creamy texture of Nepal/afgani is a result of there production method

The hash is heated in their production process most of the time on a metal plate over fire

Where they kneed it and heat kneed and heat for extended periods several you tube shorts on the process

Basicly decarboxilating parts of the thc-a > thc wich makes it more gooey

Yeah but do the la mousse kind not tend to cost the same as normal commercial here la mousse is the crave for many i despise it and have been since 2020 ish.

As i cannot say for sure what im smoking is cbd cbg Spice shit or normal boring semi dry i just dont think much really smell or taste like the hash i remember before the lock down cheap or not it usually tasted great.

Yes have been thinking of presning hash frenchy style with a glass bottle but just a bit afraid of making am unworkable rock when the starting plate seems overly dry.

Have had some lovely black squidgy hash tasting like mandarin and nectarin with some herbal notes couple years back but no one seems to be able to supply it on a regular.

Sad days, never thought I’d hear this. I used to get some fire moroccan stuff round 2010, full melt only like 200 an oz, crazy terps. The good ol days lol

Rare as in there is a 40% chance the hasj you buy is foreign and 60% chance it s local made

This is blond colored hash

The dark hash are still available but a lot less than before but these are also less often copy cats to be sure your getting the authentic

Pakkaging and stamps are a good lead

Pre 2020 I got all different kinds for the same price got some light Brown ak 47 hash that was so mellow and nice the next time i could get some heavy creamy paki for like 350 euro i think.

Its like some new mentality broke lose and now people have the weirdest excuses for why prices just keep going up or quality going down… when people in the past just needed to smoke free and have some spare change in their pocket.

modern la mousse in marocco is cut up to 20% with starch

The bread Bakker in the mountains can confirm it sellls better than bread :joy::joy::joy:

So it s more profitable to produce

Morocco: record seizure of 30 tons of cannabis resin in Safi – Bladi Morocco: record seizure of 30 tons of cannabis resin in Safi – Bladi

If you scroll down you ll see another 5k kg getting caught

No maroccan hasj will leave marocco until all farmers sign up in the legal program it seems

Yeah i never see good dark hash anymore only super expensive and low tier dark hash that cost the same as mousse.

Crazy i suppose its just how it is today sad tbh.

totally agree I miss some of the old school hash easy to make yourself tho if you grow or can get hold of trim, popcorn bud cheap/free. Thing is lot of the current hash is ice water extracted to get the old school style use mesh screens and dry sift it. Usually with screens for good melt you want 150-77u then you usually have to static clean it further, for old school don’t bother. You mentioned hot water bottle rolling/folding should stick together fine note some resin homogenises faster than others/ Usually its only when just 1 screen used to sift can have problem sticking although gravity collected resin can be exceptionally clean with just single screen. By using 2nd screen you filter out debris which will reduce adhesion there is nothing of worth below 50u. Try pressing a little in your fingers if doesn’t stick can resift kief. for the total purist there’s guys out there growing old hash plant landraces just for those terps.

A very interesting review and summary of market dynamics. It seems as if strange forces are at hand.

Powerful forces sometimes combine.
