Dude I fucking remember this! I was way heavier into cultivation vs extraction at that time - diamonds were just starting to become the rage and dry diamonds were even being seen every now and then (I think I saw my first ones from apothecary extracts) then NOTHING. The fuck did they want you to pour your material into?
It was more like they had no clue the process even existed, then they wanted to ban it but fortunately in Denver the reg agency has a lot of industry control. I just made mini-miners out of triclamp spool.
If u put a radiator infront of the outake to the building and plumb some thermal lines to another radiator on the intake, you could be more energy efficient
This is very good information but there are other resolves for this issue. I discussed this with the LPG administration yesterday and determined there are additional ways to conform. Furthermore, the LPG Administration does not actually have jurisdiction over mechanical issues, but at the same time they don’t want anyone to have any safety issues.
So how to conform with out pulling air from the outside:
- The return air may not be pulled from a C1D2 “classified area” If you do not know where your classified area is, then consult with a engineer that is competent in this field.
- The return air may be pulled from areas that are not classified. A C1D1 room/booth will have to be rated for C1D2 approximately 5’ outside the booth doors.
- As long as you are not within these classified areas, then all you need to do is conform to IMC 510 and IMC 401.4
The codes are being enforced per the (IMC) International Mechanical Codes and (NEC) Nationals Electrical Code
Hope this helps

Thank you so much for giving this information. They told me the opposite and gave no other options for our clients. I have had two clients not be approved by their local AHJ until the intake was ducted to the outside of the building. Can you tell us who you spoke to? Much appreciated.
