Nitrogen friendly cls valve?

Is Hamlet a special brand… My valves look close to the already. Sounds like using nitrogen and dry ice i may have to adjust the nuts occasionally w any valve?

Yes Hamlet is comparable to swagelok in quality. A definite upgrade over the china valves if using cold and nitrogen.

hamlet is pretty good, id say swagelock for the puritst.
make sure your valve packing is tight.

So basically no matter the valve the packing needs to be tightened occasionally?

yeah, sometimes cold will shrink packing too. keep and eye out for any drips from the valve stems.
we pay around 80 for a hamlet

Rekon those on eBay for$24 are even real then?

Or they got bad packing? Like not PTFE

if the valve is new old stock, or used i can see that price.
if not its a china valve, full of old cosmoline.

Hamlet makes good valves.

If you are looking for a price on swagelock, get ahold of @Goose, he might be able to get you a better one
