Again, no evaporation process requires a bump trap, that is not the argument. Also, it operates the exact same as any other standard rotovap, except your vapor duct goes directly to the condensing coils… which is obviously problematic in the event of a bump.
Based on my experience with laboratory equipment, here are the most important features in a Rotovap:
Vacuum Control
Adequately-sized recovery surface area
Adequately-sized chiller
Flask Handling assistance (especially for large flasks)
All of the fancy software with solvent profiles is kind of extraneous when we are really only looking at Ethanol. I am interested in those key points look forward to the response

Not trying to insult, just trying to understand how it is that you don’t understand. This piece of equipment is problematic, and is a disservice to the industry. Also, hash tagging breaking bad… kind of insulting.

For you my friend, I will make a gigantic effort to set it up with a 1.5hp chiller and a 12c vario in the shop when the crate arrives from Vegas and I’ll make a run down with timed function. Please understand the oxymoron comments you are making. My final revised version arrived before Vegas. The protypes have all been discarded/destroyed. And you know for the clout…you won’t catch me posting expired videos of my testing when a clean model is available. Again your input is highly valued as it allows me to adress your points on camera.
