Probably an odd place to put this, given the vibe of the convo, but is anyone running a big glass setup in the Midwest that they’d be willing to give a tour of or discuss over coffee/beer/smoke? The company I work for has no interest in glassware, or distillate for that matter, but I’m incredibly curious for my own knowledge. Reading and watching vid’s helps, but nothing beats learning direct. I’ll happily sign an NDA/NC.
Hell yeah man, you know what I’m talking about.
Part of the problem is these claims arent generally made in conjunction with other operating factors.
Example: a claim of “5L/hr of 90%+ TAC using ancillary gear that a standard lab would normally purchase at a given price point, and running an SOP that would be used daily in a standard lab.” That would correlate other performance factors that a lab would consider before buying an instrument.
Earlier in this thread summit claimed a $40k SPD will be better than a $40k WFE. But that’s kind of a no shit argument (usually). The guy who only has $40k total for their distillation rig is almost always not ready or at the scale for WFE. That $40k could be spent on several pieces of equipment for a small lab, a large lab will get solid results and a long life out of a $100k+ WFE. Different gear for different needs, summit likes to make it seem like its literally one or the other for everyone in the industry.
Video today or tomorrow AM. Finally. Let’s see it bro. And tell your sales rep to stop sending me the quote multiple times. I will make decisions after I see proof
First ones will be ran normal, then other solvents, then other weird methods and temps. I wanted to make a really clean startup video first.
So you’re saying you are going to make videos of all these different variables at play, so we can see the real time performance of the system?
Caught a a glimpse of the long awaited Summit video earlier on YouTube, but it was taken down mid-stream. Audio cut out around 6min. in - right when the action was starting. maybe theyre fixing that and will repost this eve!
Yea as time permits, I plan to run pentane tomorrow as well real time. I have meetings through out the day so hopefully time allows.
It’s ready as of now and up on YouTube.
So about 10 gallons an hour. That is pretty respectable. 40K?
Whats the title i didnt see it show up on your channel
These are the types of configs, I’ll add prices I know off top of my head. Don’t exactly quote me.
Roto 14.5k
1.5 hp chiller 8.8k
4c pump 3.5k
Digi controller 1450
Roto 14.5k
3 hp chiller 12k
12c vario 16.5
Roto 14.5k
Larger chiller options.
Larger vacuum options (scroll + prop valve)
Large jacketed pre heated vessel (custom)
1/4 of the claimed output

Not even 5 gallons in 30 minutes. Fucking sad.
Theres a hell of alot more then a liter of solvent left in that roto bro
This is where the extra btus come in to get the 80l/hr max.
You clearly can’t listen or read. We ran it at 62/63c with feed input at 30f. We didn’t even crank it. This roto on its own ran normal is two to three times faster, and we started and timed it at a dead start. While being dialed in. ![]()

You can go faster, if you listened you’d know I was running under mild conditions. With freezing feedsroxk…im not like you, I don’t do unrealistic testing cranked up trying to show people what a out of control roto is like, with not realistic conditions or ancillary gear.
But don’t worry. I’ll post a cranked video in a bit just to embaress you and your pathetic “product development skills” you have while you tell people about your innovative roto and product lines.
You are so pathetic it’s not even funny, have fun competing selling your roto in a flooded market while I’m selling mine like hot cakes. Tell everyone about your claims of creating your own model roto, while it’s on the internet everywhere…
Maybe I should give your glass guy a job, he’s been hitting me up telling me how much he hates working for you. And how you lost your last glass guy. It’s not slander or libel if it’s true Andrew, and I’ve spoke to him extensively on the telle about him wanting to find another job.
While you keep asking him to copy my shit and he tries constantly to make “random changes” to attempt not to copy me even under your directive (got it in msgs). Hey how long @ChangMinXD will it take for you to copy my roto??? You are a great liar. All you do is copy everyone. You keep denying shit. But I’ve had conversations with him while he says otherwise. Your a asshole Chang. Have fun slinging your shitty china crap. Have a great day. Namaste. Focus on yourself and hopefully you’ll be a man of your word and not rip my roto off.
That’s a typo, it was supposed to say right under 80 a hour…at full speed, high temp. And soon after I do the other solvent tests I’ll crank it up and take the condensate to the top of th coil. I’ll be sure to fix that typo.
Just do it and stop saying you’re gonna do it.
You promised 80L an hour.
Your video was
Not that way.
Actually I said …
And my web guy added a typo. These were my claims from the get go, and o mentioned earlier in posts these were my initial speeds while we were abusing it. The comment was out of control, it should have read “touching close to 80 liters a hour” but all these girls here ran with it and went nuts even though I never claimed sustained 80 liters per hour…
Your trolling doesn’t work.
I will crank it with a externally heated vessel I will pressurize. The next video is normal condition with pentane and other all solvents.
I did write this on YouTube and if, and I did not mention details because well, i enjoyed your trolling.
Thank for your concern.
You should just admit that you were saying your 20L roto could do 80L/hour, when in fact, you just showed us it cannot. You’re not even close to getting close. What’s your kW of heat? You will probably just skip this question because anytime I bring up science or math to refute your claims, you resort to stupid unprofessional shit like making shit up my employees are saying or trying to dox me.
And you can sit there and lie about my employees but hope you realize these lies you’re making up about him are not just slanderous but likely a labor law violation. And I don’t ask my guys to make copies of your stuff. None of my glassware has ever been copies of your stuff but you can believe whatever helps you sleep at night.
You claim “close to 80L” with the Rotovap- does the Rotovap include a pressurized heated vessel integral to the design that is required to hit the claimed numbers?
No, it doesn’t- this is blatantly false advertising.
“I never claimed it sustained 80L/hr”
Yeah okay, I can hit 80L an hour with a factory solvent vap… for a few minutes tops, with specific conditions and mods, just like you claim with your Rotovap- so you admit that the near 80L per hour claim is unsustainable? What is the real recovery rate of the unit without the fine print that you didn’t care to write?
How long can this Rotovap+heated pressurized vessel combo maintain 1.3L per minute? Can you answer that clearly?
You’re going to make a video with all other solvents? All of them? Really?
@Kingofthekush420 just brought in a brand new 20L solventvap- maybe we can do a factory solventvap unboxing video and do some optimization mods and see how long we can maintain 1.3L per hour, then compare the cost dollar for dollar and see who makes more logical, reasonable sense.
