bad look for Oregon…
I’m curious if this means no big spd runs either, hard to avoid d8/d10/d6a10a
Funny to see you here saying that — What’s going on with Honeygold right now? Seems like a dumpster fire on /delta8testing (I know reddit is always a dumpster fire, lol).
Right?
“Smoke all the meth and crack you want but if we catch you with delta 8 it’s a fuckin problem.”
…well
I could be wrong but i think that is a @pdxcanna reddit lol
What’s going on with honeygold? Don’t see any posts on there with them being discussed…(could have missed it)
Unfortunately we do not hold the keys to the analytical testing world. That would create a problem with checks and balances, analytical labs are fucked we are doing our best to remediate that.
No news here on the forums though, as far as that goes. I think we are the only ones that have passed KCA at scale anyway, right?
I feel you guys, 100%. Wishing the best of luck for you in all that crap xD
Luckily for us reddit doesn’t move the needle on our business, actually our e-commerce DTC does quite well with the reddit community. So I got no issues.
Apologies for the derail, proceed with Oregon being a shit show.
Not sure where this will go, but Steven claims he’ll see if he can get clarification pushed out in this matter.
I highly recommend other stakeholders (who can refrain from simply calling OLCC idiots) also contact OLCC on this matter.
It was technically my de-rail, my bad! Haha
But yeah… wondering if other states are looking into this. This is the first I’ve ever heard on regulations preventing the use of specific media (in regards to conversions)
I’m curious if they’ll specify on the types of stationary phases that are specifically prohibited. This clarification confuses me:
So… unless you have products containing a cannabinoid they can deem “artificial” or they stumble across a pile of powder bags in your lab you should be ok.
That still leaves wiggle room for ambiguous regulatory fuckery, but that’s par for the course in the legal cannabis world.
Right?
Clearly haven’t read up on making “the clear”.
Not a chemist to be found…
I personally think that trying to score points against the OLCC with that argument, however true from a natural products chemistry point-of-view, can be construed as a somewhat childish sandbox argument.
For the community as a whole to be met with respect, I think we have to step up the “quality” of arguments as to why this or that might be misguided. Not only when it comes to outwards communication, but also among ourselves.
Yes, the exact wording of the CRC language leaves a lot to be desired, but nitpicking about THCa vs THC and claiming that if we cannot isomerize d9 → d8, why should we even be allowed to decarboxylate…
I just don’t think it helps the cause. Collective soul-searching as to what led to this ruling, what underlying intents of regulations were violated, what we as a whole encouraged and supported. That’s how progress is made.
In my humble opinion.
Oooooo, i love bureaucratic stupidity, even more than i love the garage chemists!
@cyclopath if there is a 2022 legislative session covering this, i expect to see you at the capital testifying (from my webcam of course)
It does.
I suggested a couple of minor changes.
Suggested changes are in italics
I again encourage the more articulate stakeholders among us let OLCC know what’s up with CRC vs isomerization
they run the miscella thru dual slurries one of a bleaching clay and one silica before solvent recovery and then into final distillation before sale. most cooking oils are room temp hexane extracted.
You are the MAN!! Not even a half day goes by and people freak assuming the worst then you do the logical step and get clarification and now everyone can relax cause CRC is staying.
Yes…I take it you have had previous experience trying to talk sense to them…and have found your efforts rewarded.
Give them a direct call…set up a meeting with whoever is in charge.
Go for it.
Didn’t you mention something at bizzcon about acid activated bleaching clay isomerizing the terpenes?
Wait till Oregon catches on to crc modifying the terpenes, I bet this happens again…
Based on this response @cyclopath received I’d say terpenes count too
