Need Help with Molecular Sieve Beads on ETS

Is that an MVP Pump? We are looking to replace the haskels and ive heard good things about those. How do you feel about it? What sort of recovery times are you seeing?

I have screens on each end of my mol sieves? Not sure what micron . im sure that is easily found.

I tried the sock thing in my crc and things kept slipping past. Im sure it would prbly work for mol tho

I’ve set up maybe 12 MEP systems for ETS at this point…
Got another MEP 30 install in the next few weeks here…

Those columns should have socks packed with your Mol Sieves, and you are supposed to bake them in the bags between switchouts/runs.

Yes, they are not the best designed, but the MEP is what it is.

ETS has empty or packed bags available to order, just call it in.

Hit up Nikki If you need them.

I can help if you have any operating questions.

I second removing ALL quick connects, including the ones on the columns.
The column quick connects always leak if you run them sub zero.

Don’t bother with the mvp pump, it’s just a slightly less loud version of the haskell, with a larger footprint. I would spring for a blackmire or a small corken, they are far quieter and move more vapor.

Im pretty sure if you buy directly through ETS they actually sent it already packed in socks that specifically fit the back piece (I think its called an expansion filter or expansion chamber).

Socks are pretty much required unless you think your corken needs more fiber in its diet in the form of molecular sieve

And spoiler… they definitely don’t

I sourced my socks from Corlee Valve and fittings.

So I run a similar system. But I’ve done away with the pumps and opted for some jacketed coils and we run passive. 5 lbs a minute in early recovery. It obviously tapers off as the propane gasses off first. But maintains a nice fast recovery. I despise the pumps and personally I thi k it’s jjst another vendor(s) taking advantage of a market. They know how much profit it makes us so they r@pe us on the add-ons and consumables. Anyways… The pumps are loud, annoying and break down constantly in my experience. I enjoy running so much more now that we took those out, now we have 2x$1500 outlets that we don’t use in the C1D1 lol oh well, this works better. Either way… I have moved my seive to between the source tank and the material manifold. And I change that every morning. Just keep a dish of seive in one of the ovens at all times. I keep mine at 200° Fahrenheit and that does a great job. That’s my thoughts on it anyways. Hope you got it squared away brother

I’m not sure if it has to be done differently with the recovery pumps though. I’ll go ahead and admit that now lol
