No mods necessary it s almost the same vapor pressure as propane
Just don t soak
- You need to run PTFE gaskets.
- Material columns packed at 50% density compared to butane. (Example 6”x40” material column would hold approximately 3.5-4 lbs of material).
- Material column on dry ice.
- Collection pot on iso/dry ice mix.
-Do not let material soak in solvent. Quick wash for better results.
Active recovery pumped back approx 30lbs/hour.

30lb an hour is nice. What pump?
That’s 1/2 a lb a minute there is nothing nice about that
And it s deu to it s high vapor pressure
Of 4 bar that it go s so fast

Idk it takes us over an hour to get 35 lb back using a trs

Buna gaskets are also dme rated
Well that’s butane
And many factors come in play when recovering
Evaporation surface
Diameter of vapor path
Shredder valves removed?
Hot water bath with circulation
Cooling coils
Receiving tank cooled
If all these are optimum I can pull
Almost 1.5 lbs a minute
But more expensive to run
And more cleaning work to do in the end
At a certain point the piston room in the max amount of vapor that can be transfered

Half fill the material column ? Half efficiency, what is the actual benefit of using this solvent or is there something it picks up better than tane/pane

The only good thing dme has is safety issues
Less poisonous than alkanes
Less explosive than alkanes
But still all of the above
It s a solvent I use for extraction of esential oils of biomass that has no chlorophyll
It s very polar ( di electric constant number ) will give you it s polarity
The dexso version is quiet pure but still has mistery oils
It does strip off all oils well a single wash is most often enough

I’ve only had luck with PTFE gaskets personally.
@Nextracts I was using 2 trs’ tee’d together.
I tried some commercially made extract here in canada that was advertised on the package to be mz12x extracted. I looked it up and found it was dme and looked into it and it seemed safe. Didnt know there was other gasses in it as well, funky. The extracts not bad though. Bit cloudy, started to sugar out, but other parts were stable enough to do this
DME is a relative safer gas than butane
Consumption wise
It pulls chlorophyll that’s it s major drawbacks

It’s how you make the gas.
It’s also how you clean and condition it. It’s “new” in the chemical world and people are realizing its benefits. I won’t say them tho
