More decent cheap lights

I don’t have a greenhouse (yet). Use what you have to get you what you need. Use that to get you more. Necessity is the mother of invention.

It was dropping into the 30s and low 40s at night up until last week. Peppers and tomatoes don’t like that. I could develop healthier plants in that room with the windows open. It also allowed me to harden them off a bit easier, too.

Some of my plants already have bark on the stalk. I’d say I chose well.

been using sunplix since they have had 315s good warranty service

ive never used a warranty over 20 years other than a ballast splitter. I think the end of a air hose found it way into a socket??? it was crazy. I dunno what happened. I was working in the garden and then it was crazy loud electricity flowing sounds? and then lightning and shit? and of all the dumbest reactions- i reach in to unplug shit. it was like straight from a movie= it blasted me across the room. i jumped like 6 feet and landed on my ass and was like WTF? THe ballasts put out some crazy voltage im guessing. I got the splitter replaced free but holy moly.

Got these barrina leds for clone racks. Didn’t you not like these @AgTonik? For the price and application I think I’m gonna like em. I’ll update after I finish my first rack. Anyone know where to get the micro clone trays cheap shipped?

If I could buy my trays over again I would make sure I get ones that have thick bottom trays but that the dome seals properly. I want to say I got mine from bootstrap farmer or something like that but the domes do not fit the trays

do you have them yet? teh ones in the pic look b spec? It looks like theres two strips of blue diodes on each board. do they have that? What are the drivers numbers?

No I don’t have them yet. Just ordered them today I ordered the LM301B 4000K series It should come with a non-dimmable mean well driver they have another one that’s more expensive with different diodes

let us know- I may wanna buy a couple of those. non dimmable means it has a pot on it and can be run hot. im curious if it shows with all 301b or some uv in it. The other one has some reds i think and an inventronics driver. No offense to china, but im sure theres such a think as a counterfeit ballast too. I dont know if mine are real either. i got my china lights from kingbrite and they are good under a par meter. They dont meet wall watt specs though. I draw 450 watts off a 480 claimed lamp. Thats fine by me though. I find that 600 is the min for coverage of a 4x4, but its better than a 1khps

Thats what I thought at first, but they’re open on the top if you look close.

@The_Lone_Stiller, I’ll have to check it out.

And now that you mentioned it, I recall something like that in his 3d printing thread @Concentrated_humbold.

@pdxcanna, would you be willing to sell me some if you have something like this?

they are made by Secret Jardin for their tents which had the same pole diameter as this tent. I got them from NEHydro but I had to buy them with 3ft horizontal poles. “Space Booster Corner 19mm”
