What is the reason for monitoring the temp in the head? I have never had to and always have fire disty. Yellow or water clear.

Well for one you know that your vac gauge is calibrated to sertain extent
When going for different cannabinoids such as cbn
And a overall parameter of how your run proceeds
I only measure head temp on 2nd pass, first is just done as fast as possible and i can tell even running the hot condenser tech
