MJBizCon Vegas GLG Events

What is the point of this idea?

Sounds like an ill conceived cash grab

We participated and saw value from it. A handful of people who both extract and have never heard of our brand before stopped by and I got a longer and easier conversation with them.

Then on the other side, some people won money from it at the end and got entry to some after party events.

The mission was to drive booth traffic and engagement for the companies we work with. The feedback has been really positive and I look forward to deploying this again at future events.

Thanks, C. It was great to see you, Jena and the team at the show.

Turnout was abysmal so whatever helps. The first thing I noticed was in one year how many companies downsized or just didn’t show up.

Predicting half the size next year max. Probably another date change to accommodate shrinking attendance and vendors.

Hopefully your passport saves MJBIZCON lol

You are right about the attendance. Even more reason to differentiate your offering. I think regional, international, small education events are the move. The best thing about the shows are that people get together. The off site events were really where the action was this week. So many of the parties were not cannabis friendly. That’s the worst.

Been 11 years since the first one.

I can only imagine it’s juiced and had its peak.

I feel for the people who invested so much into their booths this year to try and make a single closed loop sale to cover their costs.

One of the major issues with the show was specific vendors are now gone, consolidated or completely faking being in business and are about out the door. I would caution buyers to do business with sellers who can’t support their own products or in the future at all. I saw three or four major brands no longer there. I saw a couple who are faking.

I walked up and talked to the XD guys and none of them have a clue Their boss is about to dip out of the industry and leave all customers hanging. These guys lied to everyone out there at the show.

Decimal both was worthy of talking to them.

Some of the trim and hash washing booths were great to talk to.

Advanced extraction labs was a quality stop.

I talked to bizzy bee and the chiller guys who also said similar things, big tone, big voice but no support when it comes to what’s expected in the future. Turn and burn sales.

Agrify is completely gone looks like.

Some small players were there but weren’t really there if you know what I mean. Everyone has clocked out when it comes to the show. Mjbizcon was the only winner even if they undersold booths. I was there for a day and couldn’t wait to get back to Vancouver. I would guess this might be the last show they do. I can get more and better info from Google and web pages than I can get from mjbizcon now adays.

Im super happy i didnt go this year but i had a lotta FOMO that monday and tuesday.

last week became one of the proudest weeks in my life and that wouldnt have been possible at MJbizcon.

First, my kid went undefeated at his first varsity wrestling match… pinning all his opponents then he turned 18 last week and we had such a great party on friday. I couldnt have imagined missing either for mjbizcon. never missed a birthday or sporting event and last week wasnt gonna be the start.

Also, last week we had an unusual amount of sales for black friday week. Typically our business goes to off peak sales numbers from thanksgiving to new years. We are in season from Oct-May but those 5 weeks are typically slower like our off peak season numbers during the summer. Not to mention, MJbizcon week is always a slow week for us becuase 90% of our clients and vendors are in vegas. We didnt run any sales or promotion and we still had a killer week and so different than the last 5 years.

Might not ever go again.

Mjbizcon has become CannaCon.

Retail is all that’s left and Champs dominates that for trade shows.

Everyone for the past 10 years is now just juggling around used equipment. Lmao hilarious watching you talk like Chang is gonna Sell Out and walk away. No agrify?

How was the summit booth?

Those smaller split booths seemed to be still able to earn some business.

Like that Flanged SPD with @AlexSiegel and @AdChem

People were smart to split booths this year for sure.

I wasted like almost 2k those few days and I regret wasting the fly time. Only a few big players left. The rest was redundant china sales, and I may add, it looked like they had zero sales and from my conversations with them they were trying to make unheard of deals.

The cash wouldnt bother me as much as the time… i can write off most of Mjbizcon as a business expense but the time i have with my kid is diminishing by the week. Hes 18. He only comes home on school nights. Hes out and about with his homies and girlfriends and i cherish the time we get to spend together.

Seeing his face when he won all his matches last week was priceless. no amount of money brings that type of joy to me.

Not may know what he is truly up to because he lies to everyone. I do know that you can find his two socal locations up for rent online right now. I’m not sure if he’s going to sell out. He is a questionable business individual for anyone to attempt to buy out.

The half booths were pretty cool. You can see the people sharing the love with each other who participate like that. Summit was with polyscience and they seemed to be having a good time. The display was really nice.

The funny part is Elliot stood there with cannabinoid sample testing asking for grass clippings to anyone who walked up. I fell over when I saw that.

Sounds better than mjfraudcon. One thing I noticed. 99% of all chads and consultants and fakes walking around looking to con people and investors were basically absent.

@ChangMinXD is this true?

Looking into picking up a system with the @globtek33 crystallizer

Already sitting on some apeks machines with zero support that will be scrap value only when the HMI or OS has a glitch. Not trying to help someone exit with my money to leave me holding the bag.

Time to look at another brand apparently.

You expect that guy to be honest with you?

He won’t even post pics of the whole spot, just old ones with the trap lab he had inside it back in the day…

Bizzybee moved into a bigger warehouse this year, what makes you think they’re going under?

We are talking about extractor depot

Gotta say their booth looked shabby af. Little 3d printed systems as opposed to brininging the real gear.

Caveat emptor

My bad, I think they are cool. I and it seems like the bizzy systems and the chiller guys are not invested a whole bunch and are seeking quick turn around sales. They used to have a larger more in your face booth from the years past. The chiller companies are more connected with smaller vendors and team up together for sales at mjbizcon.
