We’re looking to add at least one staff member to our new licensed extraction lab in the beautiful recreational paradise of Northern Lower Michigan. We expect to be operational by mid October. Specifically seeking individuals with advanced hydrocarbon extraction and post processing skills. Cannabis experience is preferred but not necessary, however you’ll need to have a relevant degree or experience in a relevant field(ochem, chemeng, etc) to be considered for the position. Analytical chromatography experience is a plus.
We have a state of the art, high throughput, fully automated hydrocarbon extractor, first of its kind in the state. This means no more babysitting and valve turning! By leveraging the efficiency of automation, we are aiming to produce high quality products at competitive prices while eliminating a lot of undesirable work related to the extraction process. We want you to use your brain first, and your body a distant second. We feel this allows our people time to concentrate on other areas of the process and gives us a distinct advantage over the competition, as well as provides a better work environment for our people.
We are committed to ensuring a good quality of life and work for our employees; providing them with the tools they need to do their best work, as well as the time and resources required to live their best life outside of work. We won’t leave you hanging on equipment needs or weekend plans.
We aren’t a group of Chad investor types. Our main partner group has been smoking/growing/extracting cannabis for 20/18/10 years respectively. We were all born and raised in the area and have called it home all our lives. We are highly motivated, we know our shit, and we’re looking for people with similar qualities.
Pay is negotiable and commensurate with experience. Room for advancement. 5/8s or possibly 4/10s. Healthcare and dental provided. Paid time off. Bonuses. Extra perks.
I’m just gonna go ahead and write this in stone for the industry:
When you make a job offer, include the compensation package.
Not doing so is unprofessional at best and opportunistic at its worst. Its shows a total lack of respect for the interviewee and is basically bait and switch by getting them to be “pot committed” to the hiring process before you hit them with that shitty hourly rate that doesn’t come with health insurance.
Not saying that is what OP is doing but it’s what everyone else in this shady industry does. Chad’s getting to the next stahe of success on the necks of the little guy that’s actually turning the crank on the money machine.
I personally think an extraction technician should make 60k a year (oregon currency, adjust for your state accordingly) and the manager/director of operation should make double that. Plus benefits.
When you pencil out the business plan For your lab dont allocate a quarter mil for the fancy BZB and give your employees the shaft. If you can’t afford to pay your employees at least what they can make running a 5 lb closed loop a few times a week in there garage then you can’t afford to ethically open a lab.
I didn’t list a salary here, but I can discuss over DM.
I can tell you that a qualified applicant will be offered a very attractive compensation package, as good or better than the number you mentioned. No disappointments.
Click the person’s name, and then click on the message button. You might have to post a couple of more times until you have the ability to DM. I don’t remember what it takes to get through all of the new user stuffs.
Thank you, that’s probably what it is. The message icon wasn’t showing up yesterday. Probably just needed to make a few posts and such. Thanks again though!
