Hug your loved ones and be thankful for the gift of them in your lives. Spent the last 24 hours in the hospital with my wife, where she had to have her appendix removed (thankfully before it ruptured).

Thankfully, she’s doing well. Sore, as the cut into her abdominal muscles yesterday, but she’s a certified badass!
We are on vacation in Vegas visiting family, and it just happens that my aunt retired from the hospital we took my wife a few months ago, and she knows everyone there. My aunt was on the phone with the surgeon and charge nurse (personal lines) before they had even come and talked to us. Could not have happened at a better place. Pretty much got the royal treatment, and the surgeon was great.
Now the only hard part will be keeping my wife from lifting anything for the next month and managing the flights back to Oregon on Tuesday.
