Maybe I'm too high. (Gummies)

So I made up a batch of gummy bears:

2 TBSP agar agar
2 TBSP blue agave
1 cup of Mango :mango: juice
6 grams golden teachers

It all fit in the following:

48 5ml gummy bears
7 12.87ml cups

[Edit] Thank you for the math :abacus:

[Edit] melted down the first batch, added citric acid, sugar, and gelatin. Then re-poured. Half a gummy is so relaxing :relieved:

I do believe there is approximately 100mg of mushroom each gummy bear and 200ish per cap. But ā€œsee titleā€.

agreed…

Thank you

My quick calculation could be off, but I came up with about 90.88 mg/5ml gummy, and 233.94 mg/12.87ml unit.

final volume 331 ml with 6 grams of fruit.

18mg per ml

90mg of fruit per 5ml gummy.

just estimates but that’s the ballpark

That’s just of fruit by weight. Then ballpark the psilocybin %

Edit: better info below

total alkaloids is much closer to 0.5% - 1% of mass

so

fruit body mg x (0.007) = alkaloids in mg

weaker mushroom estimate towards 0.005, for more potent estimate towards 0.01.

just multiply by the percentage as a decimal

First batch was a failure.

Remade with gelatin instead of agar and turned out great :+1:

It’s a lot prettier to work with a concentrated tea but that’s just me :v:

Can you explain this concept bit further? You making a strong tea then cooking off most water or?

Pretty much yeah, you don’t have to cook off a lot or any really. It’s just normal mush tea with less water cause gummies don’t use a ton of water

The amounts you use vary depending on the batch size and the desired dose. Put the broken up mush in water then steep for 10-15mins, remove mush and squeeze gently in a filter (cheese cloth or something), you can always add back water if needed for your recipe.

Mush gummies are for microdoses imo, you can stuff a bunch of powdered mush in em but I’d just cap em up at that point

Ground mush directly in the gummy works but doesn’t look as pretty, in chocolate tho it can make for some pretty effects

I forgot about the liquid needed for the gummys anyway… And yeah chocolate is my normal go to…
