LORANN OILS safe to vape?

Does anybody know anything about LorAnn Natural oils? I was wondering if these flavored oils could be used to make a nice flavored oil for vaping. I just added a drop of Lemon Oil Natural to a pod I’m vaping and the taste is totally amazing. I’m hesitant to vape it if it’s known to be a serious NO NO!!

I did a search and found nothing on the site. THanks.

If you look into vaping/smoking any type of essential oils, it’s not good for you. There’s definitely worse stuff you could be smoking though. I wouldn’t be surprised if lots of flavored distillate has some percentage of fruit/plant essential oils in it.

It has exactly the same evidence of safety that terpenes do, which is none. Vape away friends. We’re all just doing safety tests on ourselves here.

I used to use those same oils 5yrs ago before i switched to terps. Most my ppl didnt say anything negative, but i wouldnt use it any more. Most have an ethanol base. Imo, can ignite in a vape pen and cause bad things.

Thank you for the feedback. I found a spreadsheet on the internet showing the different ingredients in each oil. I have no idea where it came from and if its accurate!

Cannabis, which is full of terpenes, also has basically no “evidence” of safety

Well, ethyl and benzyl alcohol is definitely not good to vape. I’d be willing to bet vaping colors is bad too.

I think the trick is therapeutic grade oils, I’ve put a lot of thought into trying some dotera therapy grade oils to flavor carts, some of them smell amazing, there isn’t an alcohol cut and most of them are a huge percentage terpines, some are entirely. It can’t be any worse than vape flavoring…

I’m going to continue to experiment with it as the flavors are amazing. I don’t think that could be any worse than vaping some of the other “mystery solvents” that are on the market today.

@ExTek90 I agree that I wouldn’t vape anything with colors or alcohols.

One thing I find interesting is I am kind of hesitant to put in a vape cart for disty, but this stuff is used to make e-cigarette vape juice. I guess we will see in 10-20 more years if all the vg/pg/flavoring has been safe to vape or not.

I may be shooting myself in the foot later if it turns out they were safe. Here i been buying expensive terps for my personal carts and have had a huge collection of flavors that I could be mixing up .

For anyone else that has the flavor concentrates… you can make some dope icee syrups. light syrup - 1:1 cups of water to sugar. reduce some by boiling for 5 minutes. let cool to room temp and add between 40-60 drops total of flavoring per condiment sized bottle.

Vapers suck down ml’s a day of flavoring so it probably won’t kill you in low percentage for a cartridge and c8 mct was widely used for a while. Mct based flavorings could be your solution @denverterpene

Not to say it’s 100% safe, but it’s an answer

We’ve been vaping those flavors for 10 years now in nicotine land.

Lorann has only a few that actually taste good in a vape, though. More companies out there making them more specifically for vapers have blends that work better in that aspect.

I LOVE loranns for my candies and gummies though.

LORANN oil soluble flavors use a vitamin E carrier. LORANN water soluble flavors do not, but obviously would not work for oil but fine for gummies/candies.

I’d give them a call and just tell them what you’re doing and ask if they have some specific suggestions for you. They’re in michigan, and I know that they’re somewhat friendly to cannabis.
