Hello everyone title says it best. I’m in need of a used c1d1. I can travel to pickup and take care of shipping.
If you don’t need it for an outdoor installation or some short term lease build a C1D1 with a licensed contractor.
It will save you a boatload of cash even over a used lab container and your maximum solvent storage can be increased through various ways if you build.

The issue with building is that I need ASME/UL certifications and in order to get those I have to have specific insurance to go with them.

The ASME/UL ratings are for the equipment.
The equipment along with serial numbers need to be in the site plan.
The site engineer signs off on that ensuring it’s built and equipped according to the plan.
You need this for a prefabbed lab or a stick built one to get occupancy in your space.
I’m not aware of any insurance requirements from city or state code people.
If you are planning on moving in a lab container without any of that you are going to have issues if your municipality catches on.
