Live ROSIN vapes - Whos leading the pack?

Is that steam distillation? To be honest I have no interest in adding extra terpenes anymore. I was worried about nothing… Just a gentle decarb of excellent material is all it took🙏🏼

Thank you for the recommendation! I haven’t checked them out. I felt compelled to try a gentle decarb in a jar without over complicating things and it has resulted in the absolute best cartridge experience that I have ever had (effect and flavor wise). I have never had this gassy, earthy and complex of a flavor with any type of extraction in a cartridge previously(including hydrocarbon extractions).
I have to say that I am only using the finest organic fresh frozen material so I have a great amount of terpenes in the rosin. I don’t know what everyone else was overcomplicating in this thread (and others) trying to obfuscate the process in order to seem smarter or protect their “IP”. Even my food grade microns have a low enough viscosity to flow through several different cart designs. I was worried about nothing…I would actually not want to add any more terpenes it would be harsh at any higher of a concentration :green_heart: :v:t3:

No it’s just vacuum. I do it to adjust the ratio of terpene to fats in my HTE to make them less viscous and to adjust the flavor profile

You know you love rosin lol

The nitrogen dry soft goes in a freeze drier for a sec still from fresh frozen stuff right ?

It doesn’t sublimate all the water just most?

Raw garden uses a spinning band for this and they have some pretty bomb carts

Think they been doing for a hot minute this way

It truly is the way to make any rosin better

Although some on here do it and lie about it and just claim the way the stir the fucking paddle is why there rosin is better not cuz it’s juiced up harder than lance Armstrong

Glad I got this lil co2 machine to play with for halfway decent cured material destined for hydrocarbon crude

Might as well have some terps in a jar instead of the ethanol after dewax

i’ve been doing 1oz of cold cure or fresh pressed hash rosin in a 16oz mason jar with the lid not fully tightened at 212*F in a ambient temperature vacuum oven at positive pressure until it goes fully transparent, then into the freezer for 1-2hours, then on a heated magnetic stirrer and straight to a cart filler….. but i’m going to be switching things up and i don’t know what to do….is a diamond miner really necessary and will it help, or is a spool with tri-clamp fittings, pressure gauge and PRV sufficent? or is it the same as pulling vacuum in the oven with jar tek? or should i create that system from anonymouse post A Theory on BHO/Rosin Decarboxylation with Natural Terpene Preservation - #26 by CuriousChemist22 ?

I’ve read about centrifuges but came to the conclusion that it doesn’t seperate enough terpenes for it to be worth it and you can just recondense the terpenes by putting the sealed container in the freezer after decard for 1-2hours…..???

Also for temperatures… i’m coming across 245*F for 45min 110*C for 110mins, 80*C for 12hours…. but what truly is the most efficent that doesn’t slows down the process, darken your oil, or degrades terpenes and retains the most terpenes and gets you baked instead of buzzed??? What temps would be best for negative pressure and positive pressure? Should headspace really only be up to 20% max before it becomes counterproductive due to Co2? What are the best specs and best equipment?

Asking all the right questions

There is no “set” decarb method, per se. You need a good sealed vessel with enough headspace to handle all the CO2 you’re going to release, some gas law math, and a good way to measure pressure and relieve any over-pressure. Read the forum, it’s all out there already.
