Live Dried Bud- Crop to Cure in 24 hours

ah then my mistake getting old seems to have taken its tole :frowning:

@AnOldRusty
These calculations show a 2.5% increase

I think the appearance too really helps to justify it. Check out the side by side photos.

Freeze dryers are definitely very expensive for throughput though. Fortunately the harvestright we have hacked comes out to a throughput of roughly 10k/lb of dry material per day. Which is actually a lot cheaper for throughput than the other cannabis freeze dryers on the market currently.

Our larger scale freeze dry solution will be dropping soon this year and be able to produce 25lb of dry mass/day for roughly the same 10k/lb/day price point. So in terms of freeze drying, which also derives ROI from shelf life extension, we have the costs down about as low as they go.

The full bundle includes a resinator that can be used to feed multiple freeze dry units, or used to trim up to 80lb/day, as well make bubble hash and produce seive for rosin.

Also, longer shelf life makes your life easier in terms of supply chain management. You can keep strains in stock for a year and be able to hold more strains, rather than rushing them all to market while theyre still fresh. This allows you to have more strains on the market and take up more shelf space which leads to more profit, while also guaranteeing you will actually have stock of what your sales force is pushing, which can be its own nightmare.

the pics do a bit of justice not going to lie just wish it was like willy wonkas and be able to taste and smell through the screen.

We are willing to do demonstrations!

There is a cost associated with shipping the units to your facility and for our technician’s time, but you will get to see the process fully in action.

so is there a difference in the freeze dryer compared to like a sportsman with k fittings?

Im not tryin to bash your method, but the North America Pharmacopoeia allows for a 5% variance in testing. Again not bashing the method just never having the claimed results your seeing and I dont know any growers doing this with any level of success.

I would love to see a testimonial or a in person demo

Hi Myrrdin, appreciate your input.

The 5% variation would be a +/- variation off the total, for instance a 20% cannabinoid result is within the range of 19%-21%. Not to be confused with 20% +/- 5% range= 15%-25%.

The calculation for range= result +/- (result*.05)
upper range= 20+(20*.05)=21%
lower range= 20-(20*.05)=19%

So by these calculations the difference still falls well within the range of statistical relevance.

Feel free to send me a direct message to schedule a demonstration. There is a cost associated with shipping the equipment and our technicians time, but we would love to come to your facility so you can see the process and do a side by side with COAs.

Not sure if its been posted in this thread but there is a patent for “Cryo-Cure” that lists their own test results and the methods they use. Just google US20200191480A1 I believe the data shows some strains increasing in THC and others decreasing, the overall trend is higher but its not convincing for me.

I’ve experimented with this personally at a legal grow in Canada using a scientific Harvest Right and we didn’t see any notable changes in terpenes and cannabinoid content. Also the finished flower didn’t score well with our test panels. The texture threw a lot of people off and there were also reports of an off taste. The appearance and aromas from the bud are great though.

How did your test panel describe the off flavor?

Am also curious of the panel review <3

Freeze dried weed tastes like cardboard. It’s what happens when the lignin and cellulose break down quickly.

Cardboard like AgTonik said, also one person described the taste as similar to the smell of “airplane air”

Yes, I am familiar, have ran a hplc/gcms in a legit testing facility. The peak quantification from the graphs is the true test result and can also be manipulated by factors of environmental and operational procedure.

The bump in potency that your describing is within the variance seen from bud to bud. Sublimation of moisture does not circumvent the limitations of total potential thc in the sample.

AHAHAHAH. As having the misfortune of recently flown, this nails the retronasal essence perfectly.

Yeah definitely wasn’t impressed with the freeze dried flower I tried.

Also the Resinator is hands down one of the worst kief systems I’ve ever used.
So many problems, so little yield. Makes a huge mess. The only cool part was the Co2 and that had plenty of problems too. Ended up trashing the thing a month after purchase because can’t return the things and nobody wanted it.

I smoked a bowl of freeze dried weed from a guy who swore it was the future yesterday.

I wasn’t convinced. Same as the other stuff I saw. Looks better visually but that’s it

This is what I was going to say but kept being a dick about it so I erased it
This is common knowledge, and no salesmanship is going to sell it to anyone but newbies with investors…
It’s what I would call fraud, mostly, but there’s no way of knowing if someone is new to the game and found a neat trick to profit from or if they are intentionally trying to use certain words like” your brand” , etc…
That will get someone’s “brand” ruined, but it’s someone who is new at the game that’s oils buy some snake oil stuff like this

Hey @_joe I hope that isn’t passive aggressively directed at me. We spend more on FDA/UL/cGMP/OMRI/CDFA/FIBL, research, testing, white papers and COA’s than I make in a year.

When terps break down, they tend to become their isoprene monomers. If freeze dried cannabis tastes like rubber, this may be why.

No, the people trying to hustle freeze driers for making someone’s brand better!
Sorry if I wasn’t clear
Yes it does make smell and taste like cardboard…zero smell, really, but it looks good.
