Also should note that there are a few people nominated who would make great moderators, but they do not meet the requirement of being a Level 3 already.

How many mods are we thinking of? Will they be able to close threads too, or just split topics.
And what if someone abuses those rights?
Not that I wouldn’t trust any of the nominees, I’d just suggest ground rules beforehand.
