Solid. It’s a sure way to keep your cloner at optimal temps. Did you do it all DIY or just daisy chain cloners and a chiller?
If you daisy you will have to bump your chiller up to handle the load. If your just running one a 1/10th works fine with a small pump.
I never did post a pic of how I clean my aero cloners. Use saran wrap to seal water in. Leave air line plus stone, neoprene collars and baskets in cloner.
Run 24hrs with 4 caps of bleach to 2.5gal water
Rinse well
Rinse again
Add 1/3 cup 34% h2o2
Run 24hrs
Rinse 2x
Let air dry
Has anyone plumbed the pump for an aero cloner out of the resivoir?
I got one to fuck with, and I’m rigging it now.
TC is not good for farms. The equipment is expensive and having the know how for TC is expensive too. Also the time it takes to make your TC clones the same size as cuttings makes it a waste, you will need way too many shelves.
Not sure how that would work.
Seems good i ran it for a couple of hours and didn’t have any leaks that was before the silicone.
I’m just remember cleaning put aquarium pumps out and they were gross.
Keeping that housing out of the resivoir is mainly what I’m trying to do.
I have found scraping to be a waste of time. Cut at an angle and call it a day
Its connected to a sprayer inside?
Have to get those underwater pumps. They take apart easily. Suction cups secure the pump to the bottom of container . And I may actually have a spare I can put together from my parts box. Test ride it and see if it works better.
@Demontrich is referring to magnetic drive pumps. If you buy one I suggest Danner over ecoplus
Danner all the way.
This comes down to what the impeller shaft is made out of. I swear the ecoplus is ceramic.
Fragile POS
It will be, the Inlet is connected in the picture, the outlet to will connect to hose. Which goes through the hole on the left I drilled out. I have clear tubing, it was whatever I had around, but it it works I’m gonna grab black hose.
@FicklePickle, @Demontrich, it actually is a mag drive, ecoplus. Not a Danner, but it works. I have a few of em around to tinker with.
I’m surprised about the ecoplus for you fickle, I put my through some shit and it’s just fine.
I ordered Danner’s from my hydro distributor and she ordered me 8 ecoplus’s instead. Of the 8, I had 2 of them replaced from the get go because the impeller was broken. Then over the next 6 months I replaced 3 more impellers. I even lost a 4x4 table when one of the impellers broke (One of the many reason I’m pro rdwc). Danner’s haven’t done me dirty, yet.
Them are some pretty roots! How often are you guys changing water? Once a week?
Good to know.
I’m still planning on dipping my toes in rdwc, but never have done any hydro at al before. Figure I’d start at clones and work my way up.
I dont change the water on the ez-cloner until they are all out. Once I see some nubs on the stems I add root wizard and a couple of days later they look like that.
