Synthases (THCA, CBDA, and CBCA) are promiscuous and all retain the ability to create many different chemical products depending on what precursors they are fed. See attached paper from 2018. I have no idea if any of their “unknowns” are D8, but I personally wouldn’t rule it out simply because you don’t think it’s a possibility…
