Chances are the grow was surrounded by blackberries…this IS Oregon…

I always assume those are murder hornets!
Murder hornets would be a LOT bigger….they also won’t be fluffy or have feathery antenna.
These critters should be benign on everything except your raspberries
It’s possible they might decide to try cannabis crown boring, but given their lifecycle constraints I don’t think they would have much success.
On closer inspection, I’m not sure I’ve see one of those before. Not sure if we have those in the south east or not. I just tend not to fuck with the angry looking flying things around me!
