Yeah, I think gas is expensive enough now it might not be worth that funk
The xylenes and toulene would likely mean it might need to be salted out
I do not think you can cold crash either of those solvents. I shouldn’t assume your path tho.
I haven’t done DMT in ages either. It was the very first thing I extracted tho, gave me a love for this field.
Plan was to try to work off the method that @Photon_noir described using butane.
He described a straight to base procedure using butane as solvent. I was thinking using aqeuous naoh to basify and then drying the powder under vac followed by extraction with propane preheated to 125f.
Gasoline would be nice to test with, but I wouldn’t put all my eggs in that basket due to the toluene that’s present like you mentioned.
personally, I think that sounds like a very interesting plan, and I can’t see it not working. Just don’t really habe a spare system to run that in, and I’d need to do a deep clean.

Do you remember “Indra”? Old head, claimed to invent BHO extraction? Fairly sure I remember old posts about using butane to extract mescaline. similar context.
Dude was a nutso, but he did have a few interesting ideas and some very old posts that predated any of the forums we use.
I dont remember him by name, but when i used to look through those old forum archives I didn’t typically look at the names of the posters because I’m not active in those forums.

I have thought about this too, could be a decent way to process bulk material fairly quickly. ‘Mud tek’ (hate that word), then make cakes like CRC media and just pass NPS through a CRC stack?

Some folks on facebook had fucked up and imploded a jacket on one, but it wasn’t clear what they did. I believe it recycled heat from recovery using solvent vapor? I never had a firm grasp on what he was doing, because he was such a curmudgeonly man.
Yeah the recovered solvent was pumped through the collection pot before being cooled to use the heat from it. Saw one yrs ago in a barn because it was 2-3 stories tall. Never saw one run or ran one, he was really hard to get any info out of. With a price tag of a million or more i think, it was a limited market.

Unfortunately my climate here is bit to cold I’d have to have them in greenhouse or pull them inside every winter …a lot work for something you need to get big so it has huge roots that can strip the outter bark then only strip the inner bark for the highest yield and deepest color

I had them about 4ft tall w center stall about like large indoor cannabis plant. I just imagine it’d take ten years to get large enough harvest
I was gonna plant the in the sides of my greenhouse in building but I didn’t get it done in time. I dug my greenhouse into the ground since my elevation goes down fast and I’m on hill. And to keep the frost from ever getting my tropicals. Greenhouse still in progress I gotta buy the material plus the pvc maybe some wood for shelf’s but thought about cutting into the sides and making a shelf into the red ground. All I’ve had done is ground level cut into the side of the hill it in almost 6ft deep in the back and ground level at front the because the hill elevation.
I plan on hiding couple more storage shopping containers underground I love not seeing them
Did a cart at beginning of the year with Remedy terps and a few drops off cbt came out pretty stellar. Terps held up for about a third of the way very consistently but by about half way the taste became inconsistent. At about 40 percent left the cart tasted completely of dmt. At about 25 percent left seemed to only be able to achieve waiting room and no more blast offs. Tossed the cart shortly after as it began leaking at around 15 to 20 percent left anyways.
I was simply attempting to see if a cart could be made without using pg as the additive and just using terps + cannabiniods instead. If I attempt again I think I’d do a .5g cart in the all glass no cotton style carts with just 5 percent terps and no cannabinoids.
