Does anyone have experience with Jupiter seeds? Good or bad, please let me know.
Midwest strain- [W]eek 5 [CBD] at approx 16%
It looks like a high leaf to calyx ratio making trimming very difficult. Peaking CBD that early seems that it would be very difficult to time testing.
If the stats are what they claim, their CBG strain looks nice though.
I have a little experience with them. We bought stormy daniel fem seed from them 2 years ago. Tons of males in the fem seed. Hopefully they have improved there technique.
I crossed t1 and cherry blossom and named it stormy daniels at the same time other people were doing it and I had no idea I wasn’t alone. Fwiw a friend planted several acres of my seed and had no problems with hermies, so I don’t think the problem is the genetics.
We didn’t have herms, just males. I did like the flower, but we had to rip up about 30%.
What a joke. They might as well have been reg seeds. My sketchiest variety is also my highest cbd%, but in one season of stressful planting into unworked ground, I had about a 3-5% herm rate, which I consider unacceptable for plants I sell. You can tell farmers to watch for pollen sacs, but you can’t make them. A seeded crop makes for an angry customer, regardless of whose fault it is.
Grew Midwest from Jupiter two seasons ago. We ended up with nearly half males, so they were for sure not feminized as expected. And the yield was low compared to our other strains. I couldn’t say what their seeds are like now, maybe they are better, but we didn’t have a great experience back then.
DM me.
I ran some samples 2 years back. Super glad I didn’t run more. I remember they were charging a buck a seed with a 10k minimum. Out of the 20 I ran 8 were males.
Really can’t stand companies who sell feminized seeds that aren’t. They are super easy to make and test. Only reason you would be selling seeds with that many males is cause you’re a greedy piece of shit. Out of the hundreds of feminized cannabis seeds I’ve grown in the past I’ve gotten maybe 1 Or 2 male. With hemp 4/5 companies I’ve bought from have had at least 10% males.
Grew 35k of them in 2019. Not a fan. It started flowering a month after our other varieties. Pulled about 500 males. It was very leafy. Though very cold hardy and mold resistant. But not a fan of harvesting in snow. You would think Midwest meant it would flower early.
Hello,
Did you have input on Jupiter?
I ran their Midwest strain back in 2019, and while I did not have any males, they did not perform as well as I would’ve liked. Their CBD yield was 16.5% with a sorta random sample.
