Manufacturing Manager Position Description
Location: North Carolina Charlotte Area
Pay rate: $80K/yr negotiable
Manufacturing Manager Required Experience

Manufacturing experience 5 years minimum.

Managing a manufacturing team of 60 members or greater.

Bachelor’s degree – extensive experience may substitute in some cases.

Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques – Such as Kaizen or Six Sigma.

Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards – Like OSHA, ISO 14001, or TS16949
-
Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools – Such as ERP systems.

Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Manufacturing Manager Scope of Work

Lead, manage & hold all staff accountable
-
Scheduling projects / assigning tables to work orders
-
Shift scheduling
-
Interfacing with project managers
-
Implementing and managing SOPs
-
Daily meetings with leadership team
-
Hold weekly all-hands production meetings
-
ERP related responsibilities
-
Confirm that MOs have been filled out correctly
-
Record over-runs, defects, scraps, and material loss
-
Communicate project status and completion with Project Managers
-

Oversee daily production operations for efficiency and quality
-
Manage production budget and implement cost controls
-
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
-
Train, and evaluate production staff
-
Analyze production data to optimize processes
-
Implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., lean methods)
-
Resolve production delays or issues promptly
-
Collaborate with supply chain and quality control teams
-
Prepare production reports for upper management
