It's Willbillytek. Duh

That’s gonna happen regardless with blue diamonds on the market. We already have idiots telling people to dye their shit.

So, what was the point of making them blue? It was a net loss for cannabis safety

im taking bets that all this will be in the open within 30 days of being released to market… Im betting all the labs are gonna go super ham on these samples and will explicitly state if these are safe cause most have to be intrigued too… thats what im putting my money on… I think its a matter of weeks till this is all in the open which is why im not to concerned with all the questions… those are all gonna be answered soon and super quick i feel

Yeah they’re not gonna do that. They’ll tell you what they identified in it, they’ll tell you what they didn’t find. They likely won’t be able to tell you which way the molecules spin, and whether or not that has an impact on the safety profile.

Edit: Nobody can even say if smoking ANY cannabis extract is safe, as you’ve pointed out multiple times.

Smoking in general isn’t good for you haha

Risk vs reward

I like to be high (and edibles don’t cut it)

i find that hard to believe with some of the competitors…

maybe im just the stupid guy… but ive bought from most of my competitors. tested their services and products.

i guess the cannabis brand business is different… you all dont run tests on competitors…

That’s not true. It’s just exorbitantly harder to determine the differences. All you have to do is pressure test and rust test things. We would need miles and miles of analytical data to determine the differences.

Lots of cannabis companies buy and try their competitor’s products, my company included.

i really dont think you do… hes said its cannabis derived… and dont you think if he was using a weird solvent/anti solvent you might see residual of it even though it might be within ppm thresholds?

i think there is a reason he cut off the terpene part of that test and the residuals

Not if it’s a compound that isn’t tested for. Although I agree that a terpene analysis will show some things.

i think the solvent analysis will show the other part of the picture

What is the measurement uncertainty?

I think you mean density of carbon dioxide vs air

Photon is a busy guy. He also isn’t on the forum but once a month or so. If there’s a delay, it could be for any number of reasons, including that the particular NDA used by thewilly could infringe on one’s ability to offer consulting. He also just may not have had time. I’ll ask him when I talk to him later today.

We all know more info is coming. Why not just relax and keep on keepin’ on?!

So, if the key to getting higher is more CO2, I’m gonna take a drag off a joint and huff a tank of CO2!

If CO2 causes better lung expansion for better absorption, why don’t athletes do iron lungs pumping in equal parts of O2 and CO2 to avoid muscle fatigue?

I’ll tell ya why…

Over absorption of CO2 (not that smoking a gram of THCA would be enough) will cause blood acidosis causing the kidneys to produce more bicarbonate to adjust blood PH. Not a good thing which is why your body has a fail safe to adjust this. Which is why the lungs, after absorption of inhaled atmospheric air, dispels the waste product of breathing air. Which is…

Wait for it…

CO2!

That’s also why they can check for acidosis through breathe tests.

The alveoli in the lungs store more oxygen also in instances where oxygen levels are lower in the blood as a fail safe as well. A bunch of storage tanks if you will…that’s why they take blood gases (via an arterial draw via vein) because the body hasn’t had time to absorb what ever inhalant you inhaled. More accurate readings for gas poisoning.

Has to be a balance.

Just to be clear, I do not support his previous statements. Was just correcting his reference to carbon density since elemental carbon is not generated in the process he is referring to.

Agreed.

I’m plenty relaxed, concerned, sure, but I’m not stressed or upset. I do feel bad for having caused @TheWillBilly stress, especially considering he thinks I’m doing it intentionally. Even after stating multiple times that I just want them to be safe.

Blue diamonds look cool as hell, and I’m an advocate for innovation in every form, provided it is not at the sacrifice of wellbeing or progress. I’ll admit, I want to know how they are made, not so that I can make them though, and I certainly don’t want his specific SOP. It’s not really in my nature to want to copy anyone else’s work, which is why I R&D’d my own CRC SOP. I’ll reiterate… I just want to have some sort of affirmation that they are relatively safe.

I kinda feel a bit responsible for this one, maybe anyway.

I havent seen this anecdote or claim shared or said before by anyone else other than my self and now Willy. A couple times and places Ive said almost exactly the same reasoning and wording that thca is stronger because of the co2 expansion/ extra push.

Willy def could have come up with this independently, its not that large of stretch, great minds think alike :stuck_out_tongue:

Though I will say I dont think this is whats happening, i did say it in jest.

Also, I havent tried anything else yet, im not looking to market or make these for sale so my focus is elsewhere. If I was I would be trying to cocrystallize with terpenes that are also crystalline. Most of ya’ll can probably find menthol crystals in your local vape stores or overnighted via amazon…

It was discussed decently in this thread on icmag:

I clicked the link but got this: “That action could not be completed. Please try again, and if this occurs again please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message.”

Edit: Searched for it on google and got the same message, perhaps it got taken down?
