It’s Memorial Day and in reality it’s a bit of a somber day, but it’s also a day we should all remember. Do you know the origins of The Star-Spangled Banner? Take a few minutes watch or listen to this video and learn to appreciate the sacrifice of brave men. 
These men and women gave sacrifices we can only imagine in our worst nightmares - I can’t even begin to think about what they had to do for this country.
RIP to Poopa (grandfather on dad’s side - what all the grandchildren called him, WW2), Uncle Jimmy (army, worked at Ft Knox for god knows how long protecting the gold reserves), Pepere (grandfather on moms side, Vietnam - EOD member, no idea how he walked straight with balls that fucking big), Uncle Jack (vietnam) and an immense amount of respect to my friends and family members who have or still are serving (brother in AF, cousin who was in the initial middle east urban raids, uncle in the Navy, etc).
