Hey guys so we have been making isolate for a few months. Playing around a bit , finally got the reactors set up so I did an initial crystallization they were pretty bad. Color was bright orange but hit about 88%
So I did a 2nd recrystalization and ended up with some pretty good looking rocks but still about 91-95%
On the 2nd pass i did filter the solution.
Now why cant I break 98% with 2nd pass ? Using anywhere from 2:1/3:1 ratios and 2nd passes I cannot figure it out.
Anyhow I did a 3rd pass ! (See pic) these ended up really hard isolate balls and some beautiful fine powder even with rinsing them with fresh pentane numbers are atill about 95%
Not before rewashing but i do wash it with cold about -5/-20 degree pentane after removal from reactor then dry and test. Once I see its not 98%+ ill recrystalize it
Colder pentane. -50 or colder. You can still dissolve some cbd in the pentane if it isn’t cold enough. Wash thoroughly after 1st crash then recrash in the least amount of solvent possible
Appreciated ill drop some jars in the -80c freezer chwck this out this pic is me taking 91% and melting with pentane filtering and now cooling to room temp before dropping the temps with chiller
