Was wondering if anyone came across or came up with a idea to make it easy to open Mylar bags without a huge machine.
I just go with them on a roll - with one end unsealed. Then I got ahead and use a machine that opens them, fills it, and then passes it to be sealed.
Otherwise its all by hand - usually using a chopstick or some other tool to pop the bag out.
I’ve also moved to around 30% non-mylar bags. jars, bottles, pop tops. Those don’t have to be “opened” in the same way. I purchase them already open.
For the mylars - I 100% don’t get them already sealed or closed. Always one end (usually the bottom end) unsealed for ease of filling and sealing.
