Hey everybody, I’d like to offer up a new dynamic axial compression column system for large scale and small scale preparative chromatography. These are standalone column systems that you can connect to a pump and fraction collecting system of your choice. These columns can be used for thc-remediation of CBD distillate/mother liquor, pesticide remediation, or isolation of individual cannabinoids (THCV, d8/d9 separation, etc).
This year I will be working to put together a fully integrated system that will be able to compete with Interchim and Novasep systems but at a better price point. I am also working with my R&D business partners to develop a system that can remove trace d9 from d8 for fully compliant d8. I was hoping to have that figured out and offer a turnkey solution, but I figured why wait, I might as well get these columns out to those who want them and who can develop their own SOPs! I have worked as a consultant to extraction companies for years, but this year I’m moving into high tech equipment sales and service.
The columns are made by a German company called Dr Maisch (https://dr-maisch.com/). What makes these systems so special is that you can use the column packer to pack a column (from 2.5cm diameter up to 15cm diameter, HPLC) which is spring loaded and can be removed from the packer and put into service. This allows you to pack as many large scale columns as you want with one packer. Most DAC systems only allow you to pack one column and run that. Imagine the throughput from running 4 or 5 columns simultaneously!
For HPLC, up to 138bar (2000psi), there is a small packer (2.5cm to 7cm dia) and a large packer (5cm to 15cm dia). For large scale flash (20cm dia columns) there is a manual packer available for much less that can run up to 30bar (435psi). This would be a very economical alternative to disposable cartridges on Interchim units with applications for THC and pesticide remediation.
I am the distributor for these products in the US cannabis space, so please DM me for pricing.
