not exactly bad advice , but impractical and overkill for the situation. And I would argue your own house with a PC you have complete control over would be actually safer . there’s a lot of nuances and different ways to skin a cat @terplord420

Think about it. Youre going out in public, on camera, on record using a computer that could possibly store data or could have risk someone simply looking over your shoulder and seeing the wrong thing or picture and making a call to the police or telling the front desk. You lack control of the environment. And again, the library is where the creator of silk road was tracked and arrested.

Using an encrypted laptop with windows in the security of your cozy home is the meta. If you are selling or more than a casual buyer, you can go ahead and install TAILS on a USB and go to a Starbucks or something with your OWN LAPTOP, but that’s not the situation here. This is a casual buyer.

I know that how he was caught, just mentioning he regularly used the library, and it made no difference in his security.
