Can you connect this THC vapor seen at 180C back to phenomenon seen in your short path distillation head?

The phenomenon has a name, and is vitally important to the separation (fractional distillation) you’re trying to achieve.

I don’t do a fractional distillation, just a simple one, there is only solvent and THC and THC isomers in my thing. I’d only vacuum chamber it if it were effective to get rid of the solvent but it is so thick and sticky…

Keep it warm while pulling vacuum 70C is fine

At this stage you can also place oil in a flask on mixing mantel and pull vacuum without condensor or cold trap

Be careful when stopping the vacuum that it does not pull de oil from the pump to your flask

no man, I used to put it in a vacuum chamber that I’d put in a big pot with water that I’d boil 1-2 hours per days and turn the pump ON 1-2 hours per days for 4-7 days and in many cases it was not enough, it would still smell the pentane. Anyway, they don’t wanna ship pentane to me anymore.

I’ll go with lab quality toluene but my pump is too strong to distill that, it will boil even at room temperature I guess. Using a bleeder valve makes the thing really noisy, I’ll build a soundproof box for the pump I think.

thank god
