Can anyone tell me what the drifting baseline means in this picture?

Is this saying that the compounds are actually fluorescing green (and to some extent red) light? That would be the definition of a “negative” absorbance no?

No. The colors are just to show 3 diffrent wavelengths that the lab collected data at. The negative drift is from the solvent gradient they use to do the analysis. As the mixture changes over the course of the injection, the base line uv absorbance changes. Most likely the green line is from around 220 nm. If they have the capability ask for the 3d plot of the sample. It will be much more apparent to you.
