How to mix sugar and distillate?

Looking to press hard candies out of sugar with distillate. Curious how people are doing this.

heated liquefied sugar, dosed, poured into molds

I am really interested in pressed candies

Is it just granulated sugar plus flavoring and then pressed into shape? If so I would dilute distillate with food grade ethanol. Mix with flavoring then thoroughly mix with the sugar base. Diluting the distillate helps it evenly distribute without clumping and ethanol is removed easily through gentle evap. I used a 2:1 dist:ethanol ratio for traditional hard candies it made for a more evenly dosed candy. Mixing evenly is the key for good dose control. Sounds like an easier way to make candy… I might look into it too.

Yeah just dilute the distillate in something like ethanol or even a small amount of coconut oil (that’s what we use for our gummies) and pour it in the melted sugar. Mix thoroughly, pour into molds, and voila. Super easy.

What sugar to distillate ratio did you end up getting?
