I’ve had pretty decent success decarbing THCa in pint-sized wide-mouth Ball jars with a PRV canning lid I shall link below (nevermind I can’t link anything, but happy to send it over if desired).
If it’s a “production batch” (which for me is ~1000 units per strain), I tend to split the sand into at least two jars and the HTE accordingly when formulating, starting at ~400g per jar pre-decarb weight of sand.
It reads like you aren’t going for this much volume, so one jar, even an 8 oz one would do. Wide-mouth or bust though!
For the HTE cloudiness, I’ve recently turned into a believer of “flashing” (not like that) the HTE in a decarb temped oven. Micro THCa can lead to cloudiness. You can either let your HTE sit and watch the THCa form a buttery puck on the bottom and then decant. Still gonna have some carryover THCa though with that method… So I take that HTE and heat it up until I can see it clarify, and then I let it cool down a bit before using in the formulation. Heat certainly isn’t HTE’s best friend, but with proper timing, I haven’t noticed much (if any) flavor/aroma degradation with this method. YMMV!

The lids themselves generally work as a PRV.
(Fucking things are designed to seal against vac, not pressure)
PS: also not worth the risk. Flying glass can kill if you get unlucky. Be careful what you turn into a pressure vessel.

Yes, this is what happened when I decarbbed my HTE. The current state it’s in is more liquid and can be ran off, just can’t be syringed up.
After decarb and letting it sit, it then became solidified, forming a “puck” on bottom of mason jar.
Did heat it up again and pour into the decarb diamonds where I mixed.
My source/lab finally responded with some knowledge.
My therory ? I see micro micro crystals in HTE.
I need to homogenize the two products together, as stirring will not breakdown the micro crystals I see.
In the process of learning this. I have probably damaged some sensitive terps as I was getting HTE to around 150F
Both source and other people say use the HTE as is, no need to decarb.
They say going over 100F will start to degrade the terps.
They also say OVER STIRRING can degrade terps.
So, I will repeat sources process, along with homogenizing to see if this helps.
If not will try to follow other teks mentioned here.
But so far , disposables must be prewarmed for a good first hit without burnt taste. Some are cloudy and some are not. Taste is vaguely there at 30% making me believe I degraded a lot of the terp profiles wanted.

Is your thca 3rd party?
Could be converted thca, with some antioxidants mixed in to prevent the crazy color changes that can occur. Those antioxidants generally cloud things up a bit, as does the seed oil from the hemp extraction.
