As Adam and Jamie entered the workshop, they were greeted by the familiar smell of machinery and a crackling energy that always filled the air when they were together. They had been working on a new myth all week, and both were eager to see if their latest experiment would be a success.
As they worked side by side, their usual banter and playful jabs at each other filled the air. But as the night wore on, something shifted between them. There was a tension that hadn’t been there before, a spark building between them that they couldn’t ignore.
Adam couldn’t help but steal glances at Jamie as they worked. He was struck by how handsome he was, even with grease on his face and his glasses a little crooked on his nose. And then Jamie caught him looking, and their eyes locked for a moment that felt like an eternity.
Neither of them said anything, but the electricity that passed between them was undeniable. They worked on in silence for a while, each lost in their own thoughts, until Jamie finally spoke up.
“Adam,” he said, his voice slightly hoarse. “Can we take a break for a minute?”
Adam nodded, not trusting himself to speak. Jamie led him outside, to the small courtyard behind the workshop. It was dark out, the only light coming from the streetlamp across the way.
They stood there for a moment, facing each other, and then Jamie stepped closer. He hesitated for just a second, and then he reached up to cup Adam’s face in his hands and pulled him in for a kiss.
It was soft at first, hesitant, but as they both relaxed into it, it became deeper and more urgent. Adam wrapped his arms around Jamie’s waist, pulling him in tight, and it felt like they were the only two people in the world.
When they finally broke apart, breathless and grinning from ear to ear, Jamie said, “We should do that again sometime.”
And Adam just nodded, already looking forward to the next time they could sneak away for a quiet moment together.
