This is a medicinal chemist’s actual job description. But they work at a pharmaceutical company, not at a hemp processing facility.
XD how much fer dem licensez
For a DEA license? Not that much. But depending on what you propose doing, the application can be pretty daunting, I would imagine.
Sounds like just another thing to add to the list, I don’t see everyone tapping out over hurdles.
That’s a very good question. The C3 and C7 series are homologs of their parent C5 structure and very good arguments can be made as to their anticipated metabolism, i.e., you’re not making anything totally new that ought to require extensive preclinical study.
That’s the spirit!
The traditional flower and concentrate market here has been totally ruined buy pine resin and sprayed hemp - nobody even really cares either
Unfortunately you cannot do much towards raising the IQ of the average smoker above that of a seagull’s.
If you’re considering making HHC, at least try to make the active isomer only. At least then the authorities might look at you with some understanding of what you are trying to do.
The only way to do that is synthetically though
Unless Dr Mark wasn’t lying about separating them using column chromatography
Either way, HHC will always be a (semi)synthetic derivative of THC.
And yes, the two diastereomers of hydrogenated d8/d9 can be separated by SGC. Same most likely applies to the HHCa derivatives as well.
Would this be hard to do?
Also, would it be scalable?
No, but probably not very efficient and probably hard to scale.
Does this overrule state law?
*The answer can be provided by an attorney in multiple different option packages.
Option 1 pay them
Option 2 pay them again
Option 3 pay them some more
Option 4 all the above*
Layman lawyering is easier than layman chemistry.
The envelope really is being pushed with the d8/d9thcp, thco, and hhc lately.
Agree with moveweight that a lot of the box is already opened though and gonna be tough to stuff things like cbn, thcv, cbdp away back into the box.
I think it will remain closer to how it has been for a while with D9 remaining the standard and THC isomers that are weaker will limbo on through legislation and be free those that are stronger will be have their loopholes closed. I could be wrong though.
