Knowledge appears to flow in one direction because most of these folks feel they’ve got something to lose by sharing the data they’ve gathered.
Far too often is there someone explaining shit on here that has only a cursory understanding. This site is great, but it also seems to be a vector of disinformation or rather misinformation.
It’s nice to see someone who’s proficient in what they do actually take the time to respond to these technical questions. Especially since hydrogenation became popular. It’s sickening when you hear smarter folks refer to some unfortunate soul as a “Monkey on fire” but at the same time none of those people are putting any effort into making sure the community has a decent grasp on what’s actually going on in the process.
The smarter folks have nothing to add if it might hurt their bottom line, so I love that you spend time here.
