I honestly don’t know what trapper implies and made a poor joke. We both know that information-sucking exists and we both know that neither of us belong in that category, at least we can infer that of each other.
I have no doubt in your skill sets or the sizes of your stove tops. My style of communication is how I find and attract like-minded. Typically, the ones who know a lot want to know more.

That was kind of the point I was making; It’s impossible to know since there are likely a smaller cohort that mainly frequent the Forum to find tidbits that can be incorporated in SOPs.
Not all in that presumed group are presumed incapable, it’s just that information only flows in one direction, or at least it can seem that way.
But there are many that like to share and I am one of them. At the very least, I like to dispel “myths” and point out that to a large extent, mostly everything cannabinoid chemistry has already been investigated and published and thus, ought to be considered “open source” and available to anyone trying to make informed business decisions.

Knowledge appears to flow in one direction because most of these folks feel they’ve got something to lose by sharing the data they’ve gathered.
Far too often is there someone explaining shit on here that has only a cursory understanding. This site is great, but it also seems to be a vector of disinformation or rather misinformation.
It’s nice to see someone who’s proficient in what they do actually take the time to respond to these technical questions. Especially since hydrogenation became popular. It’s sickening when you hear smarter folks refer to some unfortunate soul as a “Monkey on fire” but at the same time none of those people are putting any effort into making sure the community has a decent grasp on what’s actually going on in the process.
The smarter folks have nothing to add if it might hurt their bottom line, so I love that you spend time here.

Theres already a great working SOP out there already for HHC and at 90%
buy it if you want to make hhc. They’ve done the legwork already and reduced the risk for everyone
people buying catalysts (the wrong ones at that) and which they still have to store and dispose of these hazardous materials, just so they can “try” a hazardous synthesis to make dirty hhc, is not something that makes the world a better place
Organic/inorganic synthesis isn’t for wooks

All I want to do is encourage people to use their common sense and discourage trying complicated and hazardous syntheses with pyrophoric materials they don’t know how to handle
I have given supportive information on the lab techniques and also said I am available if anyone has questions or concerns.
