Help understanding this?

So can someone please help me understand this? Why delta 8 turns pink in the middle? Running a shelf life test this is 3 months old wasnt this way.

It’s a good question I hope someone knows the answer

It seems like almost anything but darkness, cool, and vacuum will cause a degradation like this to happen

the color is not thc but some sort of oxidized product. What it is would be great to know. I’m considering sending out a crust that formed on top of some d9 for testing

They didn’t wash properly and the ph is off.

would that make an ongoing reaction? Does that mean keeps converting?

If they left all the acid in there and you kept it somewhere warm yes but thats not the case here. I’ve let unwashed oil sit and it will turn completely purple, quickly.

This picture is after about 3 months.

It looks like it could be oxidization. That would make sense. But assuming the pic doesn’t do justice and it is PINK, then that’s ph.

And it was in a temperature control dark environment. Wasnt pink turn pink after a while I am curious if there would be ongoing reactions.

Amber/orange is normal if you leave oxygen in the jar. Pink is not.

So ph problem causes what to a delta 8 molecule?
