Heating mantle

Mine is 220v, but i haven’t checked it.

supposed to be ok at +/- 10%…

We had one mantle which had heating issues and that was cause the fuse popped due to the temp overshooting. I’m back to saying there should be a fuse with a cap on.

If I only had fuse…ill crack that thing open tomorrow…

Definitely call bvv before attempting any surgery on the poor thing.

I think it was built wrong…

There is a high probability for that being the case.

I rip cbd 12hrs a day…now this…i have a 1L at home…it works…lol

So, you have to burn in the mantle as per the instructions on the last page in the manual. Failure to do so will result in the mantle not working properly.

I could have made more at home then our lab turnkey…geesh

Tell me about it. I’ve had to stop midrun with 14l in the boiling flask and break down the setup and switch to a new mantle. Luckily my assistant was there, otherwise it would have been pure hell.

Its not ez money…fun though

So does your other 20l work? If so do what i did and switch out the mantle and resume work. If not tonight then tomorrow.

just figured out how to send photos…lol

Are you chasing temps or do you just set it to 200c and wait? Cause that tends to make the mantle fuck up and not heat correctly.

I ran it on 3 phase power…now it over shoots…got new mantle in single phase…won’t heat…no fuse

I chase at 2° when vapor Temps get around 140c
