Has anyone used this hash machine?

I like the price point on this unit however its only an 8 gallon plus the only thing that is listed as 304 stainless is the false bottom. I would have to see one before I bought one.

@theogwangsta just bought an Aether. Waiting on his opinion

I would be interested in hearing what he had to say

I finally had a chance to use the AG set up last week. Overall, itā€™s aight. I overfilled the machine a bit on the first fill and the agitator wasnā€™t strong enough so I had to remove some ice but once I got to a good ratio it was spinning just fine, my only concern is it doesnā€™t really seem to have the space for a lot of movement of the bud, itā€™s almost like its trapped in a revolving door, I havenā€™t weighed the hash yet but it didnā€™t look like it was impacting yields too much. Once I weigh the hash later today Iā€™ll have a better idea on that. I didnā€™t use the separate bucket portable rinse station at all besides to fill the bucket with ice/water and then I used that hose to fill up my battery pump sprayer, I donā€™t like the idea of using the rinse station to collect hash like Iā€™ve seen AG do in videos, Iā€™m sure hash gets stuck in that hose. I think the rinse station is a bit of a waste overall besides using it to fill up another sprayer lol. I do really like the spacer bag set, but that isnā€™t a new concept, but they make collection a lot easier if you havenā€™t used them before. Overall idk if this is really worth the price for the entire kit, Iā€™m still relatively new to the game so take my comments however you want. Having seen the bigger Hashtek machines, I am starting to think the Hashtek Bubbletek 20 gal machine thatā€™s coming out might be a better option

Thank you so much for the review. Disappointed to hear, but maybe Iā€™ll have to go with that hashtek.

Thank you og. Your assessment of the AG was my basic take on it. Not out a year and they redesigned the paddle that in itself made me think the motor was not very strong. I also thought the portable wash station was not practical and way over priced when you can get a portable battery operated sprayer for under 50.00

I would like to throw this out to the community have you any opinon on the wacky willys rocket Bubble Machine | 17 Gallon Bubble Hash Extraction Washing Machine

Now Im not buying this machine rather Im thinking about building one. Ss brewtech has a basic 14 gallon concial with ball valves and I have contacted for a price as its not listed on their website.

I would like to hear your opinions pro and con about using air instead of paddles to aggitate. Thanks

Ok apparently they donā€™t offer that basic conical anymore so I went ahead and purchased the 17 gallon and the project has legs now. This conical comes with a chiller and the only problem is it goes all the way to the bottom so I will break out the handy pipe cutter and shorten it maybe only have about 6 inches in the top to help with chilling the water it may or may not work but it will be fun.

I will also use this air compressor with an inline air regulator to power this bad boy.

Yes I will let you guys know how it works out. My plan is to put together one bad ass system for the home grower at a reasonable price Oh and the 17 gallon conical is 799.00 not 599.00

There are many that would be thankful.

Thought I would give an update on my progress. My conical is stuck in a snowstorm out west and shipment is delayed boo!!! I did find an interesting attachment call a whirlpool this should give me more of a washing machine
affect.

Also I have 86ed the air compressor idea in favor of the Nitrogen tank. After I drained my home compressor and saw all the nasty ass shit that came out I said no no no.

I have also ditched the very expensive Hashtech 44 gallon bag adaptor. Instead I will cut a hole in a 44 gallon Brute trash can lid to accept the 5 gallon bucket spacer and hopefully the 5 gallon mesh bag will be enough to drain and catch my 17 gallon trichome slurry.

Howā€™d it do?

Honestly, unless you gotta look fancy for the moneybags or the auditor, a trashcan and some triclamp bulkhead adapters is all you really need, and youā€™ll save a bunch of money.

You can pneumatically agitate as well, like directly, as in make a bubbletank using some air stones. The nice thing about the conicals is that theyā€™re a lil bit taller than Iā€™d prefer for normal washing, which makes 'em perfect for pneumatic agitation. Aim to place your air stones in the intermediate distance between your falsy and the bottom of your bud layer. 30 minute presoak/defrost, 10 minute bubble, 1 minute of paddle-flippin the bud block, 10 minute rest, 10 minute bubble, repeat till satisfied. Recirculation helps to maintain direction-of-flow, if that makes sense.

Back in those early days I kinda took ā€œbubble hashā€ a little more literally, and it turns out pneumatic agitation is kinda funky fresh.

I have already been their with the paint mixer except I use an angle grinder to ground down the shaft of the paint mixer to fit in a low speed hand held mixer with the help of JB Weld of course.

This build is more of bringing my game to the next level with out breaking the bank. The reason I went with this conical is it has removable top cooling coils that I plan on shorting hopefully it will cool the water so I donā€™t have to use ice. I plan on using an old cooler a pond pump, water and Ice to cool the coils.

Im going to use 2 5gallon zipper wash bags until I figure out how to put a full length screen in it. Maybe contact Hashtech to see how much one would cost I know they are open to doing custom work.

Ok I have received my conical and after some thought I bought some 304 stainless steel mesh and some 304 stainless steel magnets and I plan on fabricating a false bottom Iā€™m not going to cut down the coils just yet.

On a side note I must say this conical is bad ass i just hope it performs as good as it looks. If your interested in this type of conical its on sale for 649.00 however you can get a very basic one for about 200.00 and a velvor one for 149.00. I plan on making a run over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Hashtek emailed me and said their running a couple weeks behind on their 30 gallon machine. There was a longshoremanā€™s strike in Vancouver and thatā€™s what is delaying the roll out

I had a virus that side lined me for the last month. I did a couple of test runs and yes this method works especially with the whirlpool ball valve. I got great color a nice light tan however I did make several mistakes with this process so my yield looks impressive but considered I used 9 lbs of fresh frozen trim not so much. I did take pictures they didnā€™t turn out my guess is my SD card took a crap. Im still in the process of dialing this method in so Iā€™m not giving up rather Iā€™m just getting started. I was able to chill the water with the coils but It did produce massive amounts of foam with both the whirlpool and open ball valve so I strained out my starting material out and placed it in 2 5 gallon work bags and it didnā€™t create much foam at all I did cut the coils out to accommodate the 2 work bags.

Ok my mistake was I was using high volume nitrogen gages 500 psi and lets just say I think theirs more trichomes on the ceiling , walls and floor not to mention me than I collected. I also believe the high pressure was the culprit of the foam so next run I will have a set of low pressure gauges. I also 86ed the false bottom screen as magnetā€™s will not stick to real 304 stainless rather my new Idea is to put a vibration device from a vibrating chair and see what this does.

In short I will not be using the coils bad idea but I wouldnā€™t have known this if I hadnā€™t tried it. Iā€™m adding a recirculating pump and add a vibrating device and low volume gauges to the lineup

The Bubble 20 from Hash Tek is now in stock
