Hey Team,
My HAL Booth is being connected to Fire Suppression next week. There were some questions on the correct relay to attach to. I have looked into the manual and the relay board but just wanted to see if someone else with experience with this might know the quick answers.
Also doing some research in the admin panel, I noticed there is a fire suppression selection option, might anyone know exactly what to do in the admin panel?
Also if anyone knows a way to test the horn or can see if my horn is wired correctly, can’t seem to get it to go off for a test.
Thanks guys.
Pretty sure you don’t need to or want to link your fire suppression with your ventilation control.
The fire suppression system should operate independently of your vent control and should only be able to be triggered by a manual pull station or an actual fire (via fusible link, etc)
If you want to test your siren and booth function, just get a bic lighter(don’t light it!) or other butane source and release some butane on the sensor.
You could also use your sensor calibration kit for your hydrocarbon sensor to trigger your booth alarms.

Guessing based of term strip, F22 and FIRE are the terminals the relay might wire to.
If you want or need to do this is another question. Is this something your PE is requiring?
My AHJ requires that the exhaust fan on the booth stop if the fire suppression triggers, I believe that’s why they have them setup in such a way.
That’s what I figured. I set the booth of with a bump test and the booth fans/lights triggered but not the horn. Might just be a faulty horn.

Or blown fuse, or less likely but possible a bad relay.
My thoughts exactly. Triggering of the fire suppression completes a circuit between F22 and Fire and stops the fans.

You sure the horn is wired in the right terminal blocks? I don’t see any wires coming out of those terminal blocks
